Great experience with nice excursions and an immersion in the Amazon life without the invonvenience of mosquitos. Excellent food cooked with local ingredients, but with international flair. Fun to go there with kids aged 4 and above.

Wow. Our first trip to the Amazon and I would recommend staying here. Exceptional cleanliness and lots of activities. Our guide, Joao, was amazing. Please keep in mind that to ensure the best experience for you, many knowledgeable locals are employed to guide, operate the boats, etc. English is not a given in this region so please bring an app...

Where to begin? Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge is a remarkable place in a spectacular setting... I'll describe each aspect as follows:- The Rooms - we had a panoramic room which was very roomy, tastefully decorated, with amazingly comfortable beds and exceptionally clean and well equipped bathrooms. Honestly the room was so comfortable we couldn't believe we were in the jungle The...

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Anavilhanas in late March, early April. The accommodations and staff were excellent. Our kids (3 girls ages 7, 10 & 12) loved it as much as my husband & I. Everything from the cottages to the food to the guides were great. A good solution for a family who wants to "comfortably"...

We looked at many lodges as well as riverboat tours and we're so glad we chose Anavilhanas. This place was spectacular. The pick-up was seamless from Manaus (we stayed at their recommended hotel, Villa Amazonia, which was also wonderful). The guide who picked us up spoke English, which was helpful. The drive is about 3 hours and allows you to...

We spent five nights at Anavilhanas in early March as part of a major South America tour. It's a long way to get there, but worth the effort. When you consider where you are, it is incredible to see just how comfortable and well-appointed the Lodge and its rooms are. From the moment we arrived we were provided with a...

We debated: should we take an Amazon Riverboat cruise, or go to this lodge. We're glad we went to the lodge. First class Amazon experience. Accommodation in cabins. Several jungle trips per day. Guides are excellent. Night-spotting was a highlight. After dark, you go in a longboat up and down the Rio Negro shore while the guide stands on the...

This is a truly an all-inclusive experience, from the excellent transfers from and to Manaus in comfortable and sturdy minibuses, to all the excellent tours and activities at the lodge, AND the tasty food served three times a day. The staff excels in making you feel welcome and the tour guides are knowledgable and speak excellent English. The well planned...

Our stay here was incredible. This really is luxury but with the experience of being in the middle of the rainforest. From the get go, I was expecting a normal car to pick the two of us up from the hotel, instead we got a mercedes minibus for the two of us! This made the 2.5 hour journey to the...

Everything was just about perfect. Plenty of fun activities (day and night) to make the time just fly by. Room was spacious, clean and luxurious. Food - and menu - very good. Weather was very good considering it was the rainy season (mid Feb). However, rain or shine, the programme continues! The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite - the guides...
