Big rooms, very good breakfast, quiet garden and pool. Feels like second home. You are staying in an old building, so not everything is "like new", but thats the special charm of this fantastic hotel.Staff was exceptional helpful. After a few days we really felt like at home.

Dear Discover 29543387786 Thank you for taking the time to post such a lovely review about your recent stay at The Andros. We are so happy that you 'felt at home'. The charm of our Manor House is indeed as a result of it being built in 1908. We do hope that we will have the privilege of welcoming you back to us in the not too distant future. We remain with pleasure and entirely at your service. The Andros Team

Lovely setting and the staff were great but we have never been treating as badly as we were by the owner of this hotel. She was rude, obnoxious, unprofessional and disrespectful. The kitchen got one of the orders wrong and it wasn’t a great dish even though most of the food was

Dear smit181 Thank you for reviewing The Andros. Despite the fact that it is a negative review, I'm grateful for the opportunity to respond to you. The meal that you returned was a perfectly cooked steak (as ordered) which we were forced to 'throw away'. You ordered a cheese sauce to accompany your steak which is in fact not on our menu but that we happily prepared for you. You then requested a completely different meal which we again were happy to prepare for you. As an outside guest visiting the spa I greeted you in the very same manner as I greet any and all of our valued in-house Andros guests. I was not dismissive, snobbish or rude to you. I was however entirely forthright as I felt that your complaint was unfounded and we were forced to throw away a perfectly cooked meal which I suspect was simply 'not to your taste'. I respect the fact that you do not wish to return to The Andros. I am however enormously comforted and grateful for the fact that we have many, many happy returning guests year on year. I returned to the Andros again for a 3 night stay over Xmas. This time staying in the luxury of the Executive suite. Try as I might I still can't find fault the hotel in anything they do or provide. A hotel can provide many top quality services but without the right staff things

Dear Andrea, the Andros is in a quiet area of the town, not too far from the waterfront, and you can have taxis/ transfers or I think even a shuttle? ( but check for sure with the hotel) to go where. I don t think it is in optimal walking distance, but it depends what you are searching for... if whaterfront for shopping or dinner, than I would say take Andros, its easier from there to go for example to the cape of good hope. Andros is calm and a relaxed oasis. if you search more "movida" take something directly at the waterfront, but be aware, that at waterfront there is a lot of traffic jam... so if you plan tours... not ideal. best regards Corina
