We only stayed one night (our last night in Ireland) but it was perfect for us! Yes, the castle is actually right next door on the property, but we were given a very nice, detailed tour of it. You must go during sunlight as it...More
My husband and his mother picked the Ballinalacken Castle for the great views it advertised. I was sadly disappointed with the extremely high price and the lace of view- we had to press up against the window to barely see more than a farm field....More
My husband and I came to Ireland for our second honeymoon. We chose to stay at the Ballinalacken Castle hotel due to its proximity to the Cliffs of Mohr. The castle hotel is so close to the cliffs, you can see them off in the...More

There are taxis in town but not many, the pubs in town are great but the restaurant in the hotel is one of the best in the area. Pub in the hotel is VERY quiet and you'll find you're often the only one there, but it's very quaint and the service is good. No live music in the hotel pub.
The actual town has a few really good pubs, and it's the centre of music so you'll find it all good fun. Recommend O'Connor's and McGann's (locals' favourites).
