We arrived in Doolin after a long drive from Northern Ireland to be warmly welcomed at Doolin House. We were shown to our room which was sparse by American standards but more that adequate for a single night stay. The room was very clean and warm (especially important after a typical Irish rainy day). After explaining to our host that...

Its a fine house and we really liked the room we got. We were two friends sharing a room and the room we got was like an apartment as the second bed was in its own space and not visible from the first, so we both had privacy. The decor is rather sparse- a good interior designer would do wonders...

We had reserved a room for a wedding in September. 3 days before the wedding we received an email to say 'due to unforeseen circumstances they would have to cancel' I emailed back asking did they know any other available accommodation and my email was ignored. My husband rang and after several attempts to ignore the call they told him...

We tried several B&B's in Doolin & were turned away because we had vouchers or there were "no vacancy" signs on the doors. We were dreading spending the night in the car, so I guess I must have looked desperate. Anyway, we were charged 80 euros for a room which had no amenities. They said "free Wi-Fi", but the signal...

The Doolin House is a nice way to learn about the history of Irish music. Christie Barry, one of Ireland's premier flute players, opens up his home to share his love of Irish music. Although I would have preferred more music and less oral history, my husband, who loves music and history, found it fascinating. Christie's wife provides some lovely...

The accommodations are clean and simple. Nothing fancy here but the owner is incredibly helpful. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us advice for dinner later. The beds were comfortable and the surrounding hillsides and sea relaxing. The breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared.

We stayed for one night in early October. Our room was pretty basic but the bed was firm and comfortable. There was lots of space but the "wardrobe" area was a walk-in area with a few wire coat hangers on a pole. I've never known an electric shower where you switch it on in the bed room then rush into...

This was the only B&B we stayed in on our 15 day trip to Scotland and Ireland that we did not have to climb countless stairs to get to our room. This B&B has some rooms on the first floor with easy in your door access. We had very nice rooms with lots of hot water and large bathrooms and...

We booked this place 1 1/2 months in advance on booking.com; however, 3 days before our stay we got a message via email saying they had to cancel due to "unforeseen circumstances". So, we had to take time out of our vacation to scramble to book another place.

We thought that the Tripadvisor reviews for Doolin House were very misleading. This BnB is okay, but not the least bit nice. Our room was very basic, clean, but with the atmosphere of a hostel. The floors were bare wood laminate. The walls were bare. There were two chairs: a small wooden rocker and a wooden desk chair. The television...
