I stayed here with 5 other people last weekend and it was great. Very clean and the beds were comfortable. There's a kitchen and a common area with a stove. In the morning they put out scones which are great. It's about a 2 hour hike to the Cliffs. The owner Mattie is great. Ask him to show you his...

We stayed here for two nights. The hostel was cozy and welcoming and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the fresh scones provided by Carmel in the morning were welcomed. The hostel was about a 15 minute walk from the main pubs in Doolin, and a taxi can be ordered if you want to travel into Lahinch. Overall...

I spent 3 days at the Rainbow Hostel coming from Dublin. As I arrive a little late at night, the fire was burning in the common room in a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The owners were more than helpful especially Carmen that I can't thank enough for her kindness and for the attention she gave me despite her busy...

When my hostel fell through in Doolin because I arrived late on the bus, I was able to check in right away at Rainbow Hostel and snatch up one of the last beds. They even opened up the back family room to be used which had a large bed and two bunks. The beds were clean and I slept super...

I arrived in Doolin with my 2 friends from abroad hoping to show them some nice, warm Irish hospitality and that's exactly what I got at Rainbow Hostel. The hostel itself is so cute and charming and the owners are the icing on the cake. They are lovely, very helpful people. Take advantage of the homemade scones and cheap bike...

The Hostel itself is beautiful. The Commonroom has a lot of comfortable couches, a fireplace, books to read and music to listen to. Also the dorms are super. The beds are comfortabel. The ensuit bathroom in our room was very small and after taking a shower the floor was wet for the hole day. But it was clean. The kitchen...

We stayed here with a little uncertainty as we had never stayed in a hostel before. It is a lovely place with a very welcoming couple Carmen and Mattie. We were actually given a room in the B & B next door with access to the cosy hostel gathering room and kitchen. The fire in a very antique stove was...

My best friend and I stayed at the Rainbow Hostel for 4 nights in mid-June. We arrived there by accident after learning from the Bus Eireann driver that our initial destination, Lisdoonvarna, has no bike hire or bank machine (ATM) and that we would have to go to Doolin to rent bikes and that the closest ATM was at the...

My first hostelling experience in about 20 years and I was pleasantly surprised. The hostel itself was very clean, especially the kitchen, spotless at all times. There is a very friendly feeling to the hostel, which is definitely directly coming from its owners Carmel and Mattie, they obviously love doing what they do, and it makes for a very pleasant...
