When I think of what a traditional Irish pub should be like, I think of McGann's. We were traveling with Extreme Ireland/Irish Day Tours to the Cliffs of Moher and made a little stop in Doolin for lunch along the way. Fantastic fish and chips and Irish stew. A bit sad we weren't able to see any live music playing...

I have heard that Irish people are one of the kindest folks of Europe. Well, the people at McGann's Pub confirm this statement. Me and my friend had a lovely break at McGann's during our west-coast Ireland trip. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera here. After a short mail conversation with McGann's Sheila, she has sent me my camera back to...

We were advised by a doctor friend of ours to visit Doolin and to stay in this particular pub. We were certainly not disappointed!. We had a really nice room which was lovely and clean and at the front of the pub. The food was very good especially the breakfast - best breakfast we had in Ireland. The entertainment, which...

We came here at the recommendation of our hotel, and it was great. Food was good, service was friendly, and the drinks were cold! They also host local traditional Irish musicians, who get together each night for a wonderful in-pub show. Get there early as it fills up fast, but it is well worth the trip!

I traveled Ireland from the North to the South and East to the West and found McGann's had the best traditional music. The pub was filled with locals and tourists alike, oldsters and youngsters. I found many fiddlers and guitarists in my travels but few had the traditional bagpipes nor did they always have singers. McGanns had it all. And...

Our group did the Cliffs of Moher tour out of Dublin with Extreme Tours. Our driver and tour guide was Mac, an older guy who sang old Irish songs to us over the PA system on the bus (trust me, it was awesome). He basically forced us all to eat here, and I'm so glad he did--the food was absolutely...

We were there when Blackie the uileann piper playing. Definitely added to our enjoyment of excellent Guinness and great food. We each had a different dish and all were great. Get there early to get a seat near the musicians.

Really cool atmosphere and a great lunch!! We had the Irish stew (which was amazing!) and I had the seafood chowder which was also very good. Lots of beer choices. And not too expensive (about 10 euro for each of the entrees). It is a bit out of the way (outside of "downtown" Doolin), but worth the travel. About 10-15...

I have fish and chips everywhere I go, I have a bit of a problem. This place, hands down, best fish and chips in Ireland. I came here with Extreme Ireland Day tours and I'm glad they stop here because it's fantastic. A+
