A wonderful stay with 24 of my golfing ladies. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, although I had to move from my room at 11.15pm on the first night, because of the noise from the, what we thought might be the swimming pool filter system. The staff were helpful and delightful, no problem moving, although it was a little disruptive so late at night. I was upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the gardens which was quiet and comfy. Sadly I didn’t sleep well though because of the disruption. Second night I slept perfectly. Wherever you went the staff were smiling and helpful, the golf course was interesting and well maintained. Yes I’d happily stay there again.…
My husband booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary and it was just fabulous. The place is stunning inside and out and I adored the attention to detail in the decor. The staff were fabulous and nothing was too much effort. I had a great experience at the spa in the afternoon and the meal was of a very high standard. The card and gift left in our room to mark our anniversary was a very unexpected wonderful surprise. We will definitely be going back.…
After booking three grand rooms (including evening meals) and spa treatment for the ladies x 3 for our immediate family to celebrate our Goldern Wedding on the 27th Sep 2019, we parked our car and booked in at reception and that's when the magic started. We had the most wonderful time with the most attentive staff I have ever had the privilege to meet. The building and amenities are absolutely stunning and the rooms were beyond all expectations. After a walk around the magnificent grounds my son and I enjoyed the luxury within the pool area whilst the ladies had Spa treatments. The evening meal and breakfast surpassed all expectations and thanks to my new friend the wines and spirit waiter Shamik (probably incorrect spelling) we where totally entertained. Cant wait for my 60th. J R Pepper…
Externally this is a beautiful hotel, the reception areas and bars are stunning and we found the service second to none. The spa however is a total mis-match location to the hotel. Main swimming pool is in main hotel and spa is a country walk away. You’re not allowed in your dressing gown in main hotel so you’d have to get dressed to walk to the spa which is a bit of a way along a drive you share with oncoming cars. They will offer a buggy service but not sure this would go down to well in winter and it would cause a disjuncture in your day if you were a group who had appointments at different times. You just wouldn’t be able to settle. No slumber lounge either. Great treatments. Rough towels instead of blankets to lay on for your treatments and walls are not sound proofed. Recompense offered and graciously received. Rooms in hotel - We we in a Manor room - Lorca. Small but pretty. Bathroom is riddled with filthy grout and mould. Lovely and warm though and the bedding was sublime. Main restaurant- take a look at desserts menu. Chocolate and olive oil cake in the fine dining restaurant didn’t go down too well (the dessert was a chocolate brownie which is of course made with olive oil). The menu reads a little odd in places - almost as though it’s written by some one who’s first language isn’t English? Just something to keep an eye on. Lovely staff - efficient, kind and personable. I would go again for a romantic night’s stay. Wish I’d known about the clay pigeon shooting and archery before arriving. I’m sure it’s on the website some where. Would have loved to give it a go. …
We were a family with two children and a disabled adult. We booked the cottage away from the main building. This was excellent and the brochures did not do justice to the amenities particularly the kitchen area which was comprehensive. Lovely outside area with views. A short walk to the main building with extensive lounges and quiet areas. Plenty to do and wonderful grounds.…
