We just had a one night stay in the suite
The service is very good, nice food at decent price. U will feel isolate if u dont have a car. And be worn the entrance road can be muddy. The spa is good especially the massage.
The down side is the property need more maintenance. Some facility is totally close due to no guest.
My gf feel sorry for the property while I feel sorry for the owner of the property...
if u want some place that very isolated to chill and do nothing in middle of no where this is the perfect place for u.

This is one of the strangest hotels I have ever stayed in. The setting is spectacular at the head of a valley. It is fairly easy to find with the map they provide. The staff are wonderful. The room is designed to feel like a cave with a waterfall shower (which was tepid at best). The whole place must have been sponsered by the Thai concrete industry since they used so much in its construction. The spa is good, not luxury but professional. Honestly I could give the place anything from 1 to 5 stars depending on what aspect I think about. My advice is that if you have a sense of adventure and are looking for something a little diferent (such as the salt spa and the location) then go and go with an open mind. You may enjoy it!

It is not easy to find the way to the hotel even by google map. However, the welcome drink with a room key inside the Thai dessert Form made us impressed. Yes, the room with air conditioner is fine but what a poor lighting.
Due time limited, we have not enough time for breakfast even started at 0700-1000 am but the staff at restaurant promised me that she will keep it for me. As soon as come back hotel at noon, 4 boxes of food and fruits is waiting at reception. Superb....

Overall: Great for relaxing, Bad if you're looking for anything else apart of sleeping in your bed and a moutain view taking.

Nice location, good sleep quality (bed, pillows, etc.) took us both in bed all days and nights.

Truely refreshing, yet pretty much disturbing with all bad maintenance in many parts of the resort. Pools are dirty, some are totally non-usable. The deluxe-bathroom has only outdoor shower and bathtub which is practically out-of-order as the water for bathtub is too weak that it would turn all freezing cold before anyone could get enough water for bathing, not to mention that it looked very dirty and the hot water was somehow out-of-order (or maybe it doesn't even really exist).

We couldn't took a shower as the weather was too cold and the resort provides no hot shower. Also there were some spider webs on the shower and bathroom lights. And the towels provided were all very dirty.

The breakfast is worse, considering from what we paid for, 1 eeg, 3 thumb-sized sausages, 3 half-sized bacons and half-sized hams, served with one small glass of milk and orange juice, no refill. We did choose other choice like continental but ended up equally.

The resort's official website says the price includes "fully stock mini-bar", unfortunately such phrase means only 2-bottles-of-water. (The web also says they have hot water system..)

It was supposed to be a girl's get-away weekend and it turned out to be one of those weekends where you wish you would have stayed home. Driving up to the place, the guard did not have our names or know that we had reservations, but they let us in anyway- this should have been a sign of things to come. The rooms were not ready. There were about 10 dead fish floating in their pond. The trip was supposed to include board, but they charged us for water and tea. The food that we requested was not what we received. The place is lovely and the rooms are very cool, however, little things about the decor were cheap- like they used a Pepsi umbrella and lots of other mismatched things. But the worst thing that happened was that my friend had her bag stolen with her phone and camera in it. There was not much sympathy from the hotel and we are still trading emails with the manager who is quite rude and will not take any responsibility though the place is supposed to be secure with guards. Very disappointing and I will never go back there and would not recommend it either.

This is one of the best places i've ever experienced in my life! if you are looking for relaxation this is definitely the place to go. Cool minimalistic design, you will see collections of old bicycles. Fish lake is also a grate story. In the mid of the pool the are cemetery sunbeds which fits every body placed there. This is not a place for service or food i think (though dishes there were nice) it's place to take your time for yourself in a full privacy.

Cons:

- Badly maintained pool
- Very dark room / need a lot more lighting

Stay for a night as weekend break from Bangkok

Avatar is in the middle of nowhere, about 4 hrs drive from Bangkok. The place is very peaceful in the quite small town Ban Rai district, Uthai Thani province. Room is like staying in a cave, but comfortable. Ourdoor bath is not too bad. Dinner is ok, but breakfast in room is limited.

The pool is like swimming in the middle of mountain, but lack of maintanance and not so clean water. I would recommend the spa. It is not luxury, but the therapist is well-trained. You also can ride a vintage bicycle around the properties and nearby village.

Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere close to the nature. Very specious room with fountain-like bathtub. Guests can also enjoy feeding fish and riding bicycle to take a look around. Outdoor swimming pool surrounded by mountains is breathtaking and truly one of a kind. Hospitality of staff is amazing.

We drove here from Bangkok on a friends recommendation. On arrival we were the ONLY guests in the 49 room "hidden oasis". Bathroom was nice but no Hot water from shower head and since it was open to air and had big plants in the shower mud/dirt was an issue in the tub. Don't even try getting a massage here the "spa" was falling apart. Basically the entire property was in need of some kind of attention/repair. Only internet was off and on in the lobby. If you want a retreat with nothing to do on the property besides play pool then come here. Thank goodness we drove back to BKK the next day. The + side was the staff gave us 110% attention. There is also a nice cave, temple, and hot springs in the area so you can do something with your time. Upon check out the hotels credit card reader not working and we had to pay cash for the 1 night stay. Oh and last but not least NO cell signal here as well. So this is definetly a HIDE-A WAY.
