Detailed Reviews
We had the opportunity to stay in the Tinker Bell Room for a couple of nights. What a treat! It is the only room located on the main floor and is very private. The room, and in fact the entire house, was spotless and furnished with vintage and antique pieces. The bed was very comfortable and there is a walk-in shower in the en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was gluten-free and consisted of fresh and dried fruit, a variety of cereals, juice, tea, coffee and oatmeal with a delicious topping.

Due to a change in the COVID restrictions, the wedding that we attended was held outdoors on the covered patio. It was pretty, but very cold at -6C. It would have been helpful if the open patio sides were covered with a plastic drop sheet to stop the wind.
Portable electric or propane heaters would also have been appreciated.
Surprisingly, both parking lots were full of snow. They should be been cleared before guests arrived, especially since several were seniors with mobility problems.

Thank you for sharing your review, we always appreciate honest and detailed feedback. We’re sorry you didn’t have an ideal experience recently. Unfortunately it was very cold that week, indeed! This wedding ceremony was originally planned for our indoor space but with the last minute changes to COVID-19 orders, we all pivoted to host an outdoor event instead. We appreciate the suggestion about a tent, unfortunately our hands were tied since COVID-19 restrictions state that a tent with more than 1 side is considered an indoor venue. Our indoor venue was offered at 50% capacity (a current COVID-19 order) for this booking but was declined by the customer to accommodate more guests be able to attend. We do wish that heaters were an option but our ceremony space is directly adjoined to the historic building, and is situated below a cedar log gazebo. The safety of our guests and preservation of our heritage property informs our zero tolerance policy for fire including propane heaters. We will consider installing a large electric heater system but hope instead that we can bring winter weddings indoors again soon! In terms of the footing around the property, our driveways and parking are gravel and were cleared as much as possible including salting for safety. If there were any areas that felt unsafe, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Despite the layers of challenges presented with COVID-19 and the unseasonably cold weather we are proud to have hosted this beautiful winter wedding ceremony. Thank you again for sharing, we value the opportunity to hear about your experience. Sincerely, Angela Martin

The place was stunning. The contactless check-in was a smart move, especially at these times. The patio was beautiful. The bedroom that we stayed at was spectacular that gives you this nostalgia vibe, the hosts are very accommodating 🤩, and the location is also excellent. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood where the nearby shops also give you that 80's vibes.

We recently stayed at this previously unknown to us "hotel" in Langley. We were so incredibly well cared for and delightfully surprised by the ambience, the attention to detail, the warmth of the hosts and the proximity to all that we planned to do while in the area.
This historic hotel feels more like a wonderfully appointed heritage home - it is impeccably clean and full of grand old items to look at while having all the comforts of a modern home (think a/c and plenty of hot water!).
The grounds/deck are beautiful, as are the shared portions of the hotel. We twice had our breakfast in private in a room with an antique piano and delightful furnishings.
Beds were most comfortable and the optional breakfast was first class - plus you could have it delivered to your room or anywhere else on the property you chose!
The owners are rightfully proud of this heritage home and other amenities in the area - they work hard to provide a superlative level of service.
We will be back!!

This B&B is special for several reasons. Oldest building in Langley (oe close to it), good cozy crossroads location, and creative, super tasty breakfast to start with. The family owning/running the show made us feel at home and were genuinely friendly & informative.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the historic hotel immensely. The attention to detail was 10 out of 10. Compared to a high end chain hotel, we got a much better feeling of personal care and attention. Cleanliness, restful atmosphere and tasty breakfast - all great. It’s earned our future business!

We stayed in the Princess and the Pea Hotel for 3 nights and we loved every minute in this luxurious and charming hotel!
Our room was sparkling clean, bed so comfortable, and we had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing.
We liked how quiet it was in the hotel. We could not hear any guests in the rooms by us. Outside patio is beautiful: so relaxing and so inviting.
Breakfasts were absolutely delicious, freshly made, and each morning we had a different yummy surprise!
Angela and her family are the best hosts and made our stay very special. Their friendly welcome was so appreciated, and so helpful when we asked for their advice on sightseeing and restaurant choices.
A wonderful stay and we highly recommend this place to everyone!
We will be back for sure.

We stayed at the Princess and Pea for our wedding weekend February 2024 and it was nothing short of amazing, thanks in large part to Angela. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, Angela was always there for us when we needed assistance or had questions, making us feel like we were in good hands. Her presence felt like that of a caring friend or family member. We genuinely enjoyed her company so much that we looked forward to her presence but she was always very respectful of our privacy and personal space. It was evident that she genuinely cared about our experience and well-being, going above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and at home.
When things got a bit chaotic with our makeup artist canceling last minute, Angela went above and beyond to help. She spent a large part of her Friday evening tapping into her network of contacts to help find us a replacement. Mind you, we didn’t have our wedding here nor did we hire her for coordination services, she simply went above and beyond out of the goodness of her heart. Her kindness truly blew us away and left us feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. This made our wedding weekend exceptionally special, creating moments that we will cherish for a long time to come.
Not only was Angela amazing, but the B&B itself was a dream. The Snow White suite was cozy and immaculate, the perfect setting for our special weekend. We loved waking up to a delicious continental breakfast in the morning, setting the tone for a day filled with love and celebration.
From the cute decor to the spotless rooms to the attentive service, everything about Princess and the Pea was just perfect. We can't think of a single thing that would have made our stay better and cannot wait to return! Thank you, Angela, for making our wedding weekend so incredibly special.

We loved our stay!
This quaint, charming hotel is so warm and wonderful. The house is beautiful, historic and clean to perfection. Our room was so comfortable (including bed/pillows) and quiet and we had all that we needed. We were greeted with such warmth, like visiting Family. Angela couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, offering to help plan our days. It was a great, tranquil stay and perfect find, we will definitely be back. Forte Langley is a historic gem, definitely worth a visit.

We were traveling through B.C. and stopped over in Langley area at this delightful B&B. Great pillows! Continental breakfast and Angela accommodated my GF partner. Owner provided a fantastic restaurant recommendation and arriving at 4:30 there, we scored a table in the tiny, tiny eatery. I highly recommend a reservation. Annora is the name of the restaurant, and it is very near the downtown area of Langley near Fraser Highway. Off-street parking is a great feature of Princess and the Pea. We met all the staff, and all were helpful. We stayed in the Cinderella room. Staff provides that there is some traffic audio from nearby busy streets, and they are correct. It is tolerable. The location is ideal after a morning and afternoon nosing around the Fort Langley area. The bed was ideally firm. Chatting up Angela was most pleasant at check-in and breakfast. Book a room!
