Nice place. Great to ride in and out with our quads. Wifi is free for the slow speed which works great for emails then upgrade to high speed if you want to stream tv.
Pool is great on sunny days. Its an expensive park especially on weekends. We have never had any issues with the staff. I do not own an ownership here.

Awesome place. Pool was open and a great activity for the kids. Quiet at night. Friendly staff. I would recommend this place for a great family getaway. A quick drive for us from Chilliwack. Close to Hope, etc. My only suggestion would be to stop charging money for showering.

Booked one night (Friday)with a note to add Saturday if a second night was available.
Got there and was told I had booked the Thursday so they added Friday.
even when I showed the confirmation email from the resort with my request they told me it was my problem and would offer another night at half price if I wanted to stay Saturday. I had only planned for a Saturday ATV ride for the day so I wasn't impressed to have to pay for 2-1/2 nights for one day of activity.
The money was not as big a deal as the attitude and rudeness of the staff.

Camped there this weekend. Our spot as mentioned earlier was like a gravel pit and honestly dirty. Although the place was empty we were put next to the garbage area and did not even resemble a spot more like part of the road. After settling other campers told us beware there was a large bear each night at the overflowing dumpsters. We had a pet and 3 small children with us. Not a mention of this from the staff when we checked in and sure enough the bear came for a visit, people kept coming to us and telling us their bear story. The pool was also an issue telling us to monitor the amount of people ( 36 ) in the pool, sorry not my job. At every other campground we have been at there has been a pool attendant doing this job. But above all the office staff were rude to every person in our party at some time or another on the weekend. Can not let us know what sites we are in etc. Ok people we are family camping with 4 sites with small children and would at least be near each other so we can enjoy an adult camp fire when the children are asleep. Why such a problem there were many spots empty. Will not be back.

We stayed here for couple nights on our way back from the interior to the Lower Mainland. It was off season so I imagine much slower and quieter than high season when the RV park is full and ATVs are present.

The cabin was super clean, and had a lovely wood stove. We really enjoyed this.

There were definitely a few basic amenities missing. (Cutting board, dish towel, salt and pepper, no coffee maker to make your own coffee with (there was a Keurig with pods available), and a minimal amount of blankets and pillows). Not sure if this was standard or not, or just missed this time.

We had most of all of these things with us from our travels, so we weren't lacking and didn't need to reach out about it, but were a bit surprised to see.

Overall not a bad place to go. It was clean pools, hot tubs showers, washroom and grounds, however we made reservation in February and requested a site close to the cabins (we were having a family reunion) but we’re put in a site, quite a distance away. When questioned about this we’re told that we requested this. Our Hostess for this event went to the, office and requested if we could be moved to which they complied. Overall not a bad place to stay but definitely overpriced $75.00 a night.

Our first visit to Sunshine Valley with good friends was an enjoyable stay. The sites are large, hookups were easy, good water, 50 amp service, good cellular service. Buildings were clean and the staff were helpful with any questions we had. Hope to make this one of our go-to places to getaway. I would add we used data for internet access as we were told the WiFi was limited.

We camped here 3 nights in August. We were in an ATV site at the back to which we had no real complaints other than maybe all the rocks/gravel. Our first night there were 5 overflowing dumpsters close to our site. Just before dusk a large black bear showed up and crushed the lid of one in and took some garbage out. Thankfully it took off fairly quickly as there were a dozen or so kids playing close by. The staff cake almost immediately and removed the crushed in bin. About 45 minutes later the bear returned for his dessert. He managed to get another bag out of another “bear proof” bin. That night we set up a trail cam in our site. Sure enough that bear strolled through the campground just before 5am, right past all the sleeping campers. In the morning the garbage truck came and emptied the bins. Well, the bear still came looking the second night. We were told by other campers that the week prior the bear had tossed around about 7 BBQs from peoples sites. At check in there was zero mention of this nuisance bear. I was appalled when another family arrived on day 2 with 3 little boys and a dog. They were put right beside these bins and sure enough, not even a mention to them at check in about the bear. I realize that we’re in bear territory. In fact, we usually camp off grid. I would just expect and appreciate a heads up that there is a bear, regularly, who is I afraid of humans what so ever.
Keep an eye on your kids and pets!!

Does anyone know if their pools are open during COVID?
Answer from flametamer911
Chilliwack, Canada794 contributions295 helpful votes
Some of their sites are open. They only have both indoor and outdoor hot tubs and pools. If you are a Holiday Trails member, there is a games room. Other wise its hiking, ice skating, snow shoeing and quading. You will have to call the park to get their winter rates.
