My family discovered Sunshine Valley last summer and it does not disappoint! Any time of year, whether with an RV or one of their cozy cabins, there are so many activities to do. The pool was a favorite, as depending on what season of year you visit, both their indoor and outdoor pools are wonderful. We also had so much fun with their outdoor fire pit on our site. It was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip! The friendly service at their convenience store was appreciated. Its a real jewel of a destination tucked away in the mountains.
We stayed here for couple nights on our way back from the interior to the Lower Mainland. It was off season so I imagine much slower and quieter than high season when the RV park is full and ATVs are present. The cabin was super clean, and had a lovely wood stove. We really enjoyed this. There were definitely a few basic amenities missing. (Cutting board, dish towel, salt and pepper, no coffee maker to make your own coffee with (there was a Keurig with pods available), and a minimal amount of blankets and pillows). Not sure if this was standard or not, or just missed this time. We had most of all of these things with us from our travels, so we weren't lacking and didn't need to reach out about it, but were a bit surprised to see.
Stayed in a one room cabin with my 2 granddaughters. The cabins are lovely, well furnished and warm! The snow was great, and the staff are friendly and very helpful (had a small problem and thank you Joanne for all your assistance).
I hear sunshine valley does not keep their female workers safe, and threatens them with being fired if they report. If you can not keep the women working there safe from coworkers, how can one feel safe when visiting?
I had a great mid-week stay with my pup in one of the pet friendly cabins. Everything was clean, the sofa and bed were both comfortable, and the wood burning stove was great after some rainy walks. The kitchen was well equipped which made meal prep easy. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Joanne, who was very accommodating when I had to cancel last minute in 2020- I’m so glad I finally made it. Will definitely be back for future visits. CR.
It would be great if all the staff followed all the same covid rules. To use the pool you have to show your vaccine passport, only 10 people per time slot, each time slot is 45 mins. You get a one time wristband thats proof of vaccine & another band for the time slot you picked (No problem with that ) They didn't ask adults for additional ID with their passport but asked children for additional ID. One kid didn't have any ID & they refused entry to the pool. I walked past the pool & at least 15 people were in there, some wearing their passport bands & others not wearing any bands. No one monitoring & checking wristbands. The staff that run the place are rude.
Our first visit to Sunshine Valley with good friends was an enjoyable stay. The sites are large, hookups were easy, good water, 50 amp service, good cellular service. Buildings were clean and the staff were helpful with any questions we had. Hope to make this one of our go-to places to getaway. I would add we used data for internet access as we were told the WiFi was limited.
This location will be our second time this year as we do this every year with my grandbabies, this trip one daughter and myself use the RV section and my other daughter used the cabins. Unfortunately it was raining that weekend but thank goodness we had a cabin to hang out in. For the staff they have never been rude to us and very accommodating.
Nice place. Great to ride in and out with our quads. Wifi is free for the slow speed which works great for emails then upgrade to high speed if you want to stream tv. Pool is great on sunny days. Its an expensive park especially on weekends. We have never had any issues with the staff. I do not own an ownership here.
Nice campsite, rude staff. We like to come here because it's ride in and out for the machines. Pull through full hook up sites. You have to pay for wifi. The store has a good selection of camping essentials and liquor. Half of the staff we had spoken to we're short and rude to myself as well as my father.
