If you are looking for a place where you can get away from it all and be only steps from your door to the beach, this is the place. You can lie in the sun on the beach or in the beach chairs all day and probably never see another person. There is a pleasant breeze that makes it perfect for just kicking back and enjoying a good book. The drawback is if you decide you want to do something or go some place to eat, there is not a lot around. You may have to travel a half-hour up to Governors Harbor to find what you are looking for in the way of food or shopping. The rooms are comfortable but not luxurious. They have apartments where you can do some of your own cooking. There is food service available on site by prior arrangement.

If your plans take you to Rock Sound or Tarpin Bay Eleuthera, this is the place to stay. It is about the only place to stay. The people are as friendly as they can be. The beach is nice and you will probably have it to yourself. However, the accomodations are dated to say the least. It is spartin as well. The food in the resturaunt is good. I honestly think that they are doing the best with what they have to work with. It just needs a major overhaul. In this economy, that is not likely to happen.

I found this Inn to be average because the highs were high and the lows were low. When it comes to location, Ingraham's Inn is located in a semi secluded area on the beach. The view from our room was beautiful as we overlooked the ocean, and i particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet in this partially secluded area. However, the rooms, while clean and very spacious, did not meet the basic requirements for a comfortable, pleasurable stay. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the sheets were old and itchy. The beds were also very far away from the very small television. The carpet was stained with about 4-6 iron burns of which some were exposed and the rest hidden by random throw rugs. The water pressure in the shower was almost non existent which was a major inconvenience. The towels had rust stains. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or phone. And the light in the closet did not work. I would only recommend this Inn for its location and view. I would have given it 2 stars but i believe it has the potential to be a nice place if some minor improvements are made to the interior of the room.

This is an excellent place to stay and pretty cheap. They have a good yard with trees and is right in front of a beautiful beach.
We did not book in advance as we were driven out from Cartwrights (see my other review http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g147428-d151691-Reviews-Cartwright_s_Ocean_Front_Cottages-Eleuthera_Out_Islands_Bahamas.html)
fortunately we had taken InGraham's number while we were driving around. We called the owners at 9.00 pm and they accomodated us. We did not have cash on us and the owners were kind enough to let us pay in the morning with CC.
Maria the caretaker was excellent. The coffee was awesome.
I highly recommend this place.

This was my 6th or 7th visit. It is very quite and peaceful. If you are looking for a place to get away and be by yourself to read or just relax, this is it. It has AC, but most of the time you don't need it. There is a nice breeze off of the water. The beach is secluded.

This is certainly no Hilton, but if you want a bare-bones place to sleep and be almost on the beach, this is it. The room was much larger than most hotel rooms. The decor is outdated, but overall it was clean and the owners were very accommodating. I'd definitely go back again. One downside, the Internet hardly ever worked.
