Four adults stayed in a large chalet. The chalet has 2 large bedrooms, one with queen bed, the other with twin beds; all were very comfortable. The bathroom was large, with walk in shower. The living area had 2 futons as couches, a dining table for 4-6 people and wood stove (didn't use the stove). The kitchen is not large, but it has what you need - 4 burner cooktop, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, 4 slice toaster and full sized fridge. All dishware was included, silverware and various cooking utensils; several pots and pans were also available. On the front deck, there was a propane bbq and 2 adirondack chairs, with a picnic table and fire pit off to the side of the chalet for complete privacy. The chalet was very clean and well cared for - cleaner than some hotel rooms. The property has free, unlimited use of canoes, kayaks, tennis court and equipment, basketball court and playground. The location is about a 10 minute drive to Keji. It is a peaceful, very well maintained area, with clear gravel roads and raised wooden boardwalk through the woods. This gem will be at least a yearly destination for us. Worth every penny!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Bell Tent, right on the waterfront. It is on a large platform, about 2 feet off the ground. Inside, it had a double bed/cot and 2 singles. There are zippers that allow a vent through the tent if it is hot (it was NOT hot when we stayed 2 nights!). There is no electricity, so bring your own camp lantern, flashlights, etc. Due to Covid, we could not use the communal kitchen or bathrooms, but we had a bathroom assigned to us, complete with large shower with lots of hot water, toilet, sink/vanity, heat and full power - it was about 200 m away. We were provided with a propane bbq and picnic table right beside our large tent and our own firepit and clothesline. We played games on the flat green space by the office (bocce ball) and there is a tennis court and basketball court for use. As well, canoes, kayaks are also available for use (with life jackets) free of charge too. We bought a $6 tub of dry, hard wood for our campfire and it was excellent! There is a wooden boardwalk that takes you from one lake to the other, where there are complimentary canoes/kayaks to use at both places. There are also chalets and a log house that are fully powered, and are appropriately away from each other. Covid precautions are taken, with sanitizing sprays available for life jackets, oars/paddles, raquets, basketball, when done using them. We did not have to be close to anyone else and the peace and quiet was amazing! This whole place is very well maintained, with no boards broken, loose or any equipment that didn't work. The location is a 5 minute drive to Kejimkujik Park, which has hiking trails, canoeing, beaches... for more adventure. We will be back again and again!

I booked the "Bell Tent" with three beds for the night of Monday, August 3 for myself & my 2 daughters. We were very late checking in and unfortunately the office was closed. I didn't know where our accommodations were located and called the office number. The owner answered and was beyond friendly. She explained step by step how to get to our location. Upon arrival everything was ready for us and so clean. We were very surprised at how roomy this tent was. We got situated and had a small fire in the pit before turning in for the night. While we sat on the deck around our tent by the fire we were listening to 2 owls calling to each above us in the trees, it was incredible! When I woke in the morning and looked out the screen door, I could see the sun rise mirrored in the lake, it was so peaceful & beautiful. We got up and started to get ready, we had a key to a washroom that was private to us only. The washrooms was spotless. During a stroll around the property we discovered a river running along the property. Everything is well spaced and very clean. I bumped into a lady who was from housekeeping and a nice brief conversation, I also spoke with a groundskeeper was very friendly. My oldest daughter took full advantage of the available kayaks and went for a spin around the lake. I truly wish we had more time to enjoy this gorgeous property.

Just spent two wonderful nights at the Chalet - this was our first ever visit but definitely not our last. Everything was absolutely perfect, the chalet was just right and cozy. All the trees were covered in snow making it almost magical looking out our chalet to the River and hearing the rushing of the water. I will admit I was a bit nervous with no TV but the office is stock games and we had such fun in the evenings playing cards and yatzee. Kejimkujik National Park is very close by and would definitely recommend a visit - the trails are wonderful, even in the off season.

I have stayed here before but it was in the summer and during mosquito season - staying here in October was so awesome. It is a gorgeous spot and the river/trees/woods/leaves were beautiful. Stayed in a small chalet which had everything you need. (Bring your own food.) If you truly need something, the Caledonia grocery store is only 20 minutes away. Bought a tub of wood for $6 and had a great little fire in the wood stove. Had cell service but no wifi but this was great. My friend and I grabbed a couple of games from the office the second night. 5 minutes from Keji. Would come back in the fall again. Or anytime!

Our family of three stayed for three nights on Easter weekend this year in a small chalet. The chalet was immaculately clean and well stocked. The woodstove was cozy but there is also electric heat. The setting is serene and peaceful. We kayaked and canoed on the beautiful lake. Kejimkujik is about 10 minutes away and we did in total three hikes at Keji Park. I highly recommend the Hemlocks and Hardwoods trail. Our family will definitely be back for years to come for Easter weekends as this retreat is a perfect blend of woodland get away with the comforts of home. This ought to be one of the most sought after places to stay in the Maritimes. Making meals is easy with the bbq and burner stove top and if desired Annapolis Royal is nearby. Bedrooms are spacious as well as the bathroom. Next time we are booking a large chalet just to have more of what we had in a small chalet! I can not say enough about this beautiful place. It's rare to visit a new place and have one's expectations exceeded. It was overcast most of the weekend but I can only imagine the star gazing opportunities on a clear night. If you want a peaceful secluded beautiful place to re-connect with nature this is it! We are well travelled and this is one of our favorite places now:)

We had wanted to visit here for a while and fate intervened on Canada Day 2018, called early and they were booked, took a chance called back and they had 1 night available. So glad we took it. WHAT A SPOT!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE BEAUTY. Staff very pleasant, chalet clean, well stocked, (bring your own food, few places to eat close by) .leave technology home. Lots of wildlife around , we were greeted by a saucy chipmunk, and within 5 minutes there were hummingbirds, rabbits, squirrels. The quiet is perfect and dark enough to see lots of stars. Really worth a return trip.

We had two fabulous nights in a chalet by the beautiful Mersey River - the quiet, spacious, warm and comfortable chalet was just the perfect place to be, surrounded by nature and the river in our backyard. Being there in Autumn (Fall) meant we also had the stunning colours and one morning, a real bonus for us was that it snowed. Coming from Australia, we don't see snow where we live so we just loved it! The chalet is very well equipped, had everything we wanted. Walking around the chalets on the boardwalk was a highlight and so was meeting a few of the local chipmunks. The chalets are about a 15 minute drive to the National Park which also has a bunch of great walking trails. This is one absolutely beautiful place to stay; we'd highly recommend it.
