We had a great stay here. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with the best shower we encountered on the entire trip. They were very accommodating of a gluten free diet at breakfast, and even procured GF sausages for breakfast on the second morning (in addition to having GF toast and other items). Lots of bottled water available in our...

We spent two days on Islay staying at Skerrols House, a lovely B&B near Bridgend. It is set high on a hill, overlooking a long distance of Islay. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is beautifully large, and has modern conveniences. The breakfast was fantastic. Thomas our host was more than polite...he was seeking to fulfill our every needs, no...

From the moment you enter Skerrols House to your departure, the experience is excellent. The accommodation, food, furnishings, plants and customer service are all of the highest standard in line with the much sought after product that is found in eight places on the island! It is really difficult to think of anything that could be improved. Only one thing...

Our family of 4 stayed here during our trip to Scotland, and loved every minute of it. It is beautiful, and feels remote but is close enough to restaurants and the waterfront. Thomas was such a gracious host and was very kind even though our toddler accidentally sat on the french press. The rooms are extremely nice, and the breakfast...

A great small hotel that offers excellent service. Arrived and greeted by the incredibly helpful Thomas who showed us around, made us a welcome coffee in the reception room, and made dinner reservations and advised on a lovely country walk. room exceeded our expectations as did breakfast. we were sad we only had but one night there.

We visited Islay for the first time to see the island and to visit several distilleries. Skerrols House is a fine place to do both. The accomodation and food are superb and Thomas is a friendly and attentive host. It was an excellent stay and I can think of no way to fault it. Very highly recommended.

We enjoyed a perfectly magical stay at Skerrols House on our first trip to Islay. Thomas, the host, is amazing- friendly, informative, great attention to detail (when we got to our room there was an adaptor plug already installed to match our devices) and so helpful. He told us about the Ian Macdonald talk at Lagavullin, and immediately booked us...

We stayed at Skerrols house two nights ago. I didn't know much about it when I booked it, but I'm very glad I did. The bedrooms are large, modern, and the beds are beyond comfortable. The manager Thomas is very welcoming and provided coffee and cookies in the living room area which we used. The breakfast was outstanding; don't miss...

We visited Skerrols House for one night only - a fact we regretted immediately, due to the fact that this is the way a beautiful hotel should be. Thomas gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. The rooms were bright, clean an had a very nice interior just as the rest of the house. The breakfast was very,...

This is a very relaxing place to stay, with a warm welcome. We had a nice time chatting with other guests in the charming lounge, the bedroom is very nice and breakfast was exceptionally good. Skerrols is in the middle of farmland and, unlike most places on Islay, quite far from the sea. Very peaceful.
