My wife and I spent three nights in Oak Tree Yurt to celebrate her birthday during the last week of July 2021. It's a beautiful place and so much thought and attention has gone into the little details. It really is a luxury experience. The owners, Kate and Seb, were there to meet us on arrival and helped to ferry our belongings to the yurt using a trolley. It's quite a walk from the parking area, past the shower room and washing-up area, to the yurt, but in fine weather it was always a pleasure walking through the field, around mole hills, past wildflowers, bees and grasshoppers. It's an idyllic setting. And the sound of roaring dinosaurs from the neighbouring fun park added a certain pleasing background hum!
The yurt is very comfortably fitted out. The bed is large and cosy. There's a dining table and chairs; wooden floors; futons; a wood-burning stove; kitchen area with gas hobs; and a decking area and BBQ outside. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and building a fire in the communal fire pit. The compost "Bog Cabin" was the most pleasant camping toilet I've ever used and still smelled nice at the end of our stay. We were blessed with good weather, but even if it was cold and wet, this would be a delightful place to stay and snuggle in.
We highly recommend ordering a hamper from A Little Bit of Luxury and having a relaxing massage from The Norfolk Massage Specialist, two local businesses who can make your stay extra special.
Kate and Seb went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating hosts. For example, we were able to charge our electric car each night using the 3-pin plug in their garage.
We hope to visit again!

An absolutely beautiful location to stay and relax. We had a mini break with our youngest two (6 & 3) and the roundhouse is stunning, even the photos cannot do it justice. The detail and personal touches inside were all to clear to see and when we later found out the owners had been so heavily involved with the build it was no surprise.
The surrounding woodland and meadow were full of things to keep the children busy and the communal area (just like the roundhouse) was spotless and well maintained.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly and ensured the stay was as enjoyable as possible.
We were already thinking of our next stay here before we'd left!

This is our second time at round the woods where we invited our parents to stay in the other yurt we had a great time and we felt really comfortable and safe with our 2 children. Beautiful wildlife and surroundings and gorgeous yurt with amazing hosts.
I was just missing a couple of things this time round, one was handwash in the composting toilet and the first time we went we were gifted fresh eggs and bread as a little hamper, but this time it wasn't there so glad I brought porridge oats!
I think the gas canisters would benefit from an insulated jacket as it was very cold and this meant the gas was very compressed in the morning so we had to wait for cups of tea.
Please don't think these are negatives we would love to stay again, all the best ❤️👍

Thank you so much for your 5* review - it was wonderful having you stay with us again and great to meet your parents. Thank you for your patience while we rescheduled your stay from Easter 2020, I'm so glad your holiday was able to happen eventually! I'd really like to apologise for the missing handwash - this was a human error which we spotted when you checked out. As our first guests of the season it seemed to have somehow been missed from our preseason preparations and I'm very sorry about this. We will be looking into an insulated jacket for the gas bottle, this is a great suggestion. As you experienced this April was the coldest in many many years and the gas did not respond well to the frozen nights. With unpredictable weather for the future this may be something we encounter again so we're keen to make sure our guests can have a nice hot morning cup of tea. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed to have missed the breakfast welcome hamper we used to provide, the bacon and eggs were delicious. Because of Covid-19 we had to reassess all our operations and it did not feel safe for our family or our guests for us to be visiting the butchers and bakers several times a week to purchase these items. So in 2020 we made the decision to adapt our welcome hampers to be campfire treat hampers instead which include locally sourced items that we can order in bulk and avoid the shops as much as possible. We do now have our hens eggs for guests to buy in the honesty shop whenever possible but when you visited in April our girls we not laying many eggs at all as they had not yet come out of winter mode. We'd absolutely love to have you stay with us again and really appreciate your feedback, it's invaluable for us to make sure we respond to our guests needs. Have a wonderful summer!

We have just returned from a fantastic couple of nights staying in Oak Tree Yurt. This was our first time glamping and we could not fault it. It was a great experience for our children aged 8 and 4, away from the TV and tablets, just enjoying nature and the wildlife at its very best. The hammock and rope swing were also a big hit. Our yurt was lovely and had everything we needed, the private shower room was spotless and for those who may be a little apprehensive (like our daughter) the composting toilet was really not bad at all. If you are looking for a place to relax where you can spend quality time together then I would highly recommend you stay at Round the Woods. My favourite part.....watching the children running around laughing without a care in the world. Simply priceless!

My wife and I spend the weekend at Round the Woods in mid-September 2020 with our two young children (2 and 6). We all had an amazing time. There was so much space for us to explore and it was refreshing to be outside with no TV/Computer. The weather was kind to us and the kids really enjoyed looking for bugs & frogs, playing in the woods, swing ball, the mud kitchen, various swings & hammock! It was great to end the day around the camp fire which was made easy by the pre-collected piles of suitable wood.
The yurts themselves were very well kitted out and comfortable. Even though it was cold out in the night in mid-September we were all warm in our beds and slept well.
Kate made arrival and departure a pleasure and was easily contactable if we had any questions.
We're already booked to go again and can't wait!

Had a fantastic stay at Round the Woods this summer. The setting is so tranquil and the yurts offer great luxury but still with a sense of getting back to nature. With two teenage girls I thought the absence of wifi could be an issue...but they loved it as well. Nothing was better than toasting marshmallows over the large campfire as dusk fell and the lights came on. A great time to connect and laugh and enjoy each other’s company. The grounds are beautiful and give a true sense of being away from it all, and still a short hop into Norwich or over to the coast. Loved it all. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.

My sister, housemate and I stayed in Oak yurt second weekend of July. We were only visiting from Norwich but it still felt like a real adventure and we had the best weekend.
The yurt was kitted out with everything we could ever have needed for a hassle free weekend and every detail seemed to have been taken care of. The site is perfect for social distancing and everything was spotless.
We spent our days eating, drinking, running down the Marriott’s way and exploring the woods. The swing ball was also a highlight!
We loved it so much we have already booked to come back in September.

We had a marvellous time staying in Willow Roundhouse this August.
We chose to stay in one of the yurts last summer and had such a wonderful time we booked to come back again this year.
Round the woods is a unique glamping site which offers so much space and privacy that other places don’t have.
The finishing touches to the yurts and the round house make your stay very comfortable as well as being ecologically conscious.
As a family of five who live in a built up area and have very busy lives, Round the woods offers us a sanctuary. To be amongst the wild life where our children can roam in the woods, building dens, pick blackberries and have fun without the intrusion of screens and every day distractions.
A holiday here allows you to be with your family reconnect and relax in beautiful surrounds. The hosts website is really helpful guiding you to a wide variety of great days out. Kate, Seb and their lovely boys are fantastic hosts who are friendly and kind. We hope to return to Round the Woods very soon.

Our young boys absolutely loved exploring the site, having dinner from the pizza oven and hanging out in the yurt. The site felt really safe as there were only 2 other families staying.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, the toilet felt hygienic and the private shower was great. I've never been camping before and the bar has been set very high!

My husband, 2 year old and I spent a long weekend in one of the yurts and it was just perfect! If you want to spend time in nature and sleep under canvas but without the hassle of packing and pitching a tent, and with the luxury of a private toilet, shower, fridge etc then this is the place to come. We loved everything, from the hammock, to the swing, to the mud kitchen in the woods.....the list goes on! And even if it rains /the temperature drops its still supercosy in the yurt because of the wood burning stove. I already can't wait to go back!
