The hotel seems very good but we were there in mid-October and the area is completely empty. Difficult to find a decent place to eat and when you do find something - there's no variety. The host was very generous welcome. Breakfast is quite good. We were recommended by the host a place to dinner - Marabu restaurant. It was... More

A modest budget hotel, so expect no luxury in your room and bathroom. But everything else is top! The warm welcome, the service, the friendlyness, clean (bath-)room with balcony ... And an amazing breakfast, with homemade marmelades, cheese pie, zucchini pie, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Plus the nicest taramas I ever tasted at diner. If necessary they are attentive... Hotel is in the centre of the village, full of hospitality, they even called us if we're ok, because it was really late when we arrived. On the downside bathroom is really small, closed only with "accordion", smallest shower I've ever seen. My proposal for better atmosphere: some music with breakfast and waitress, who knows at least one word of... More

So, we've stayed here before, about 12 years ago, and it hasn't changed at all. I noticed with glee Gogo G's reveiw opposite and want to offer my conclusion: The bathroom is about a quarter the size of our utility room; the double bedroom was a bit small; the breakfast was cheese, ham, bread, jams etc; and, whilst nothing to... This was our second stay in Affisos at Hotel Katia. We visited in May, at the start of the season when the weather was excellent and the village was very quiet - perfect. Our room was on the fourth floor, with a lovely balcony and sea views. We've previously stayed on a lower floor, without the view - but in... More

The owner greets you with home made sweets and a cake. Two guys took our luggage to the room. And the room... with a terrace bigger than the room itself. The breakfast cannot be compared with any other hotel--homemade, fresh, local! If you want luxury, don't come, but if you want to feel well, appreciated and just human--come! The family... More

After staying there for 5 days, I think I got back a bit heavier! The breakfast is unbelievable, everything is handmade, from the marmalades and the freshly squeezed orange juice, to the cheese pies and the orange pies. So, perhaps a visitor won't get a greaaaat variety of jams and marmalades etc. but (s)he can be sure that there is... More

We have just returned from the sunny Pelion and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and typically greek with twin beds and small bathroom. We had e-mailed ahead and asked for an upper floor room with larger balcony and view, and the owner Antonis was very accomodating, which we greatly appreciated. The views over the rooftops to... Immensely helpful and friendly family hotel that is clean, comfortable and perfectly placed in the centre of Afissos. Anthonis and his team never failed to provide the information and advice we asked for- even the UK football results. A superb breakfast each day. We loved the jams and oil to take home. Meals at the Maruba(business partner) with Andreas and... More
