What a great find! This B&B really felt like we were staying with family, but with much better breakfast! Penny is quite a character and had a lot of local suggestions for restaurants and other local spots to check out on our roadtrip. The location is quiet, comfortable and clean but the hospitality was the highlight of our stay. We'll...

Nice, clean and airy surrounded by the beauty of the PA mountains. Very close to Shamokin and Knoebels Park. Owners are friendly and helpful. It's like visiting grandma's house. I declined the breakfast due to family plans but I'll bet it's as good as all the rest of the amenities at Penelope's B&B. Stayed in the Victorian suite which I...

We have been here 3 times in the last 2 months. This place is awesome. Penelope and Andrew are so sweet and generous. This place is like being at the mountain house you always wanted. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The common areas are cozy and available for game playing, just reading a book by the fire or having...

The breakfast was amazing and she makes everything from scratch. The jacuzzi was awesome and the bed was comfy. Sure the TV wasn't brand new but...

I was in the area on business and wanted to stay at a different place this trip. I stayed at a local hotel last time and it was shabby, unappealing, and in need of repairs.I made a good choice this time; Penny was a great host and makes the best home fries with onions. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to...

My girlfriend and I spent the night at Penelope Murphy's on a short road trip in July 2012. This was our first night on our trip, and we were both really pleased with the accommodations. It was my first time in a B&B so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Penelope doesn't take credit cards, and she takes reservations...
