Rustic cabins way out in the boonies down dirt road off of a small pond. No cell service which is exactly what we wanted. Bring in all your own foods, bedding, towels. That’s all fine even with the weekly price @$2-2.5G per week. It’s secluded and rustic with probably 6-10 families or couples around as well. Under new ownership they are jacking up the prices. No offer to people who have come there for years to extend prices for another year for loyalty or discount. Projected prices are exorbitant for rustic cabins near Lumby. They should start providing bedding, towels and toiletries for luxury accommodation prices. So many people when we were there were talking about this and their disappointment. Some people had been coming 10+ years and were saddened that they would not be coming back. Depressing atmosphere and shady. Another cute spot ruined by greed. …
We stayed in Cougar Cabin, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and well appointed and the hosts let us know to just ask if we needed anything. What a beautiful place to go to relax. Kids had a blast paddling around the lake on the kayaks, fishing, soaking in the hot tub, hiking along Echo Lk, and playing on the beach, not to mention campfires, hotdogs, and marshmallows! I highly recommend, you’ll definitely want to come back as soon as possible.
My family stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time!!!! Our family of 4 and our dog had plenty of space in our cabin!! We went on hikes, spent hours fishing and cought 4 fish, seen beavers, and lots of other wild life!!! It was so relaxing, we had a private area outside, which was great for meals and campfires!!! The hosts were awesome!! They brought over a smores kit for the kids!!! They also went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed!!! We will definitely recommend cozy cabins to all our friends and we can't wait to come back every year!!!
We had a perfect stay with family in two of the cottages. There were rowboats, fishing, kayaks, playgrounds, walking trails and campfires galore. The grandkids had a blast doing everything they could imagine and we adults enjoyed our time with them and the environment.
This is our second year coming back to Cozy Cabins. The cabins are rustic but well stocked and perfect for a getaway to unplug and the kids loved it, especially the gift of smores from the staff. Be back again next year.
Originally from Ontario, I'm constantly looking for an environment in BC similar to cottage country I grew up with. Cozy Cabins hits the nail on the head. Our 3 kids just ran completely free for 4 days. Stopping into the cabin just for food and watermelon. Catching frogs, biking the property, playing in the field, building sand castles, camp fires all day, rainbow trout fishing, hiking to Echo Lake, swimming, board games. No internet here which is fantastic you can really unplug (can get wifi at main lodge if need to). To boot, the hosts Kim and Harald are fantastic and Harald took our kids on trailer rides and quad rides around his property. It's a no brainer we will return next year. But for a full week this time. Lumby so close so if you run out of anything it's a quick drive to replenish.…
Picked this place on a whim. We stayed in what was called the Deer Cabin. Probably the oldest cabin and the smallest, but with character and the closest to the lake. If you need a place to just chill, catch up on some reading, play cards with the family and take the occasional amazing hike then this is a good place. The cabins are spaced apart so there is privacy and while our cabin was old, it was well maintained. The owners are definitely interesting characters and hospitable with good local advice when you need it (like which trial should we do today?). The drive up to the resort is on a well maintained gravel road, but I will warn you that it is a dusty drive (best not to follow a vehicle if possible), but that is the price you pay to find a remote gem like this.
I recently had the pleasure of attending cozy cabins. I’m a single mom and took my 3 kids there, I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. My kids loved the little beach, swimming off the rope and docks, fishing and hiking. I loved the quiet, the disconnect and the coziness. Kim and Harald are absolutely amazing people and made this vacation so enjoyable. I so highly recommend this hidden little gem, and I’ll most definitely be back.
The Cozy Cabins are so peaceful and relaxing, we find ourselves coming back each year! There is nothing better than waking up to the sound of birds, having coffee on the deck with a good book while the boys are out on the lake fishing for Rainbow Trout. Kim and Harald are the most amazing people and provide the best customer service you could ask for! A true hidden gem😊
Kim and Harold are very nice people and it was a pleasure staying at their place. We stayed in the Elk cabin, which had plenty of space. The view from the porch of the mountains is incredible, and if you have children, they can play in the large meadow while parents watch them from the porch. We made use of the rowboat, did some fishing, and took a short hike to Echo lake. You can easily walk to the provincial park from their site.
