Hotel staff is extremely friendly and the location is beautiful.
Food in the restaurant was very good and the staff had a great sense of humour.
Resort is under new management , and looks like it is in the process of updating .
Hotel rooms need some modernization, however they are clean .

This is in a good if not remote location. The staff and management very good. We booked a "cottage" for 1 night and it was not what we expected. It was a small wooden chalet which is fine if you're taking your own BBQ.The main building itself looked good. Their restaurant, where we ate, had a basic menu and the food was no more than average, which after a long drive was disappointing.

We stayed in October. This is a nice hotel with some cabins on the edge of the lake and perfectly situated for those who want to stay on site for golfing and lake activities. It was a bit remote for wanting to get out about about each day. We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin. It was small but adequate and clean. The bathroom was ok but the shower was wimpy. It was a double bed - quite small for us! - and the fitted sheet kept popping off which was annoying. There are 2 units in each cabin building and we could hear the neighbors when they returned but thankfully they respected the 'quiet time'. The breakfast was a light continental - definitely worth ordering off the main menu if you like a cooked breakfast.

The Dundee Resort & Golf Club is nicely located at the lake, but very remote from everything. If you want to go for dinner you either have to drive some time to find a place or you go into the resorts restaurant - which is a very simple und I precious place to sit down. Easy furniture and loud, the menue is limited and the quality of the food is average. Prices for beer are quite high for Nova Scotia (CAD 7.5) but the rooms are clean and tidy including a big TV with Netflix and so on. It’s good for a stopover but I wouldn’t like to stay there more than 1 night

We got married at the Dundee Resort two weeks ago - communication in the planning process leading up to the day was amazing. Judy was very quick to respond to all questions and concerns and even offered some assistance in planning out the decor using some items they already had in storage/unique furniture pieces. Judy was present throughout the whole weekend from set-up to tare down! Very organized and a wonderful personality!

Karol was extremely helpful during the set-up process of our reception room as well and ensuring the bar was set up efficiently for the reception. He was an absolute pleasure to work with! A great asset to your F&B management team.

Kat was one of the main servers working throughout our weekend and was very friendly and helpful. She got ice for my mom's sore ankle while we were setting up as she noticed her ice-pack was melted. She definitely goes above and beyond for all guests! All of the servers and front desk staff had pleasant personalities and very helpful.

The newly renovated hotel is beautifully done, the rooms are spacious and bright!
I would recommend to your guests to stay in the hotel instead of the cottages, unless they are ok with a rustic charm! The cottages are separately owned; however the hotel staff still does a great job keeping them clean. They are just older and some have smaller beds. The views and balconies in the cottages though are awesome so a lot of our guests really enjoyed them (just some preferred the rooms so they switched). Just a preference of the newer luxury hotel feel, so something to explain to your guests when they're booking rooms. The exec cottage (Cabot Cottage) is newer and very nice! A great spot for the groomsmen to get ready. Nice big open kitchen and living room.

All in all, a smooth and successful wedding. All of our guests had a wonderful time and really enjoyed their stay at the resort. Lots of great feedback. I come from a hotel management background and was mostly impressed by the personalities of the staff - a wonderful team! With the new ownership and upcoming plans, I can tell this place is going to become very successful and a sought after wedding destination!

Thanks again for helping to bring our dream wedding to life!
Hope to come back for a visit next year!

Hello Alex, Great to hear that you will be staying with us soon. We do have bikes available, however, it would be quite a long ride to the nearest town. You can definitely swim in the lake, and we also have an outdoor pool... More
