We booked with Berraco for 5 nights in the jungle. This in itself was difficult as we had to pay by Western union which added almost $100 of extra fees. On arrival at Rurrenabaque no one was waiting for us at the airport, so we paid for our own taxi and went into town. Upon arrival in town we found...

My partner and I spent four days and three nights with Beraco and enjoyed every second with them. Our guide Was Noah and he was extremely attentive, interesting and very informative. We were mostly interested in trekking ithejungle and saw an incredible amount of animals- spider monkeys, capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, wild pigs, macaws, toucans and many other...

One of the two things that sets Berraco apart from the other lodges at Madidi (we visited the Chalalán lodge 10 years ago) is that you sleep in a dome tent (without fly) pitched on its own raised and roofed platform literally in the middle of the jungle. Each platform is situated in its own small clearing so no matter...

Myself and a friend went to Madidi Jungle last week and absolutely loved it. It was only the two of us on the trip and the lodge was very remote - 6 hrs up river on a boat. We saw a jaguar on the way up to the lodge! The accommodation was basic but comfortable, the chef was fantastic as...

I concur with the three other reviews from Shiva , Natalie and Stathis that visiting Madidi National Park and staying at Berraco del Madidi eco camp for 4 nights over June 2016 was a wonderful experience and the accommodation ( an igloo tent set on a raised platform with a roof , and a bed on a comfy mattress )...

Berraco is the most remote of all the lodges in Madidi National Park and this meant seeing some diverse flora and fauna. We got lucky seeing two jaguars - on our way in and out of the lodge. Excellent location, good food, VERY comfortable and clean accommodation - everything you need for an ultimate jungle adventure. Make sure when you...

We spent 5 days/4 nights at Berraco Del Madidi and wish we could have stayed longer! The location is stunning - much deeper in the national park than any other lodge in the area, and the primary rainforest it is situated in is simply breathtaking. There are 3 individual sites nestled in the forest and set far apart from each...

For our first trip to Amazonia, it was an amazing experience. We booked it through Nick's Adventures as the rest of our stay in Bolivia. Nice people, perfect organisation and lot of incredible sightings. Once you are on the boat and you leave noisy Rurrenabaque, adventure begins. The forest gets thicker and taller, you are in Amazonia. 6h later, you...

I don't have a lot to add to the other reviews about the incredible Amazon jungle, or the fresh and well-prepared food, the lodging, etc. What I'll write about is a couple of memories about the people who make Berraco del Madidi and why this leads to my 5-star review. First Pedro, the owner. Pedro showed me a lot of...

“All tents had real mattresses and sheets - very comfy.”

“Trip Advisor can only ask questions related to standard accommodation providers. This is a jungle experience with very comfortable tent-style accommodation including good mattresses, sheets, pillows and blankets. Just be sure you are clear on what activities you want to do before you leave Rurrenabaque (community visit, fishing, rafting etc) as Pedro can't improvise once you take the 6 hour trip up the river.”

“The accomodation is tents (large enough for 2 people) on a raised platform, with a roof over the top. You get your own hammock and table and chairs on each platform. There are currently 3 platforms in total, all located seperately in the jungle so maintaining privacy.”
