This hotel is well off the normal business trail. We used for a recent company seminar of around 50 people for 2 days. The hotel is in wonderful old buildings around a small farm area. The ground was snow covered and the views were beautiful. The food was excellent and the service attentive by excellent staff. We did not have...

This is an amazing place set way out in the forest and some way from the small town of Bruchuasen-Vilsen. The rooms are set out in small buildings away from the main reception and restaurant. The facilities in the rooms are superb with wonderful beds, amazing bathrooms and so on. The breakfast buffet is superb, the restaurant food is wonderful...

We visited friends and wanted to stay close by so we booked this hotel based on their recommendations. We stayed only one night but we would definitely like to come back. The hotel venue is very nice and facilities are in top condition. Rooms meticulously clean. Great breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. I cannot think of anything that I...

haven't stayed here but have eaten at the restaurant a few times. A beautiful location with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a great wine list, by the glass and the bottle. The food is always well presented, fresh and delicious. highly recommended

Stayed for three nights in the Comtessa suite in an annex of the main hotel. Very well appointed and quiet suite. The hotel is a delight and the site dates back to the 10th century. The restaurant is very good and serves excellent quality meals and fine wines. The hotel is somewhat remote and vehicular transport is a necessity if...

We stayed for 3 nights in memory of our mother who had died recently aged nearly 102. The setting, the rooms, the food, the wine, the wonderful team looking after us and the charming owners made for a memorable break which we, four sisters, enjoyed enormously without exception. It is the sort of place which provides all the ingredients for...

If I had to chose the best place to stay after a long drive, this would be the one. I have stayed here many times at different times of the year, and it's perfect each time. The rooms are cosy with a tinge of modern, and the food is an art form in itself. Take time to experience the walks,...

Stayed here for a wedding. It's a great little hotel out in the woods. The rooms are very charming and the food was excellent (incl. the standard breakfast from hotel in the morning). There are some nice grounds around the hotel to walk. It's a good place to just get out and relax over the weekend.

We stayed here for 1 night while visiting verden for the dressage championships. The hotel is beautiful, set in lovely grounds and is extremely well kept. The room was very nice, the bathroom was fantastic, really nice shower and clever idea that the radio turns on when you switch the lights on. Lovely outdoor seating area with a well stocked...

We met here to celebrate my mothers 80'th birthday and the hosts of the Fortshaus couldn't have been more generous in accommodating our needs with small children et all. Surroundings, hotel and rooms were immaculate, I definitively recommend this beautiful setting for similar family gatherings!
