What a beautiful hotel, the lovely boy and I visited last week for a two night stay including reduced cost dinner for two on both nights and bed and full English or continental breakfast. The offer also included afternoon tea for two but this we didn't avail ourselves of unfortunately, we totally forgot! Our room, overlooking the courtyard, was a...

Booked through travel zoo back in December for £109 a night in superior room. We arrived at 3.15 on a very busy Mother's Day afternoon and were booked in with ease. We were in Chestnut cottage a short walk through a covered walkway and beautiful garden. Huge accommodation comprising of big lounge, settee, armchair, TV, sideboard, DVD player, tea coffee...

We upgraded to a superior room and well worth it - it was a suite with a wonderful view of the garden - and so much space! The short walk across the courtyard to the main hotel was fine- the rewards of the lovely room more than outweighed the disadvantage of going outside to get to the restaurant. Free wife...

We have been going to Ghyll Manor for over 7 years now. We have just come back from an overnight stay. We had a great time - there is a new chef and the dinner was top notch. The breakfast was brilliant too. The reception and waiting staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The grounds...

We stayed for my other halfs birthday. It was our 5th stay! The room was nice and cosy with good toiletries. The food was good and very satisfying, try the apple toffee pudding, it is not what you would expect but really good!!!! I really liked the new menu! The staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good...

Been here before. Special offer through Travel Zoo, with bed, breakfast and 3 course set evening meal. We were not disappointed. Nice ample sized ground floor room in an annex 5 minute maximum walk from main house. Only drawback is its it's raining you are wet before you get across to restaurant or vice versa. Maybe provisions of umbrella's would...

My husband and I checked in to find that we were in the lovely character room 'Beams'. The manor where we stayed is very quaint and full of character. The grounds are lovely to walk around and I expect look really pretty in the summer. We had lunch in the pub next door which like many other villages haven't got...

Our children bought us a night's stay with dinner and breakfast as a Christmas present - lovely treat! The hotel and grounds look attractive from the outside. Our room was right at the end of the complex with a fair walk in the open air to it and we had to find it ourselves and to wear our coats to...

We upgraded to a superior room with travelzoo, got a good deal unfortunately for us the food was another matter. Nothing on the menu that we actually understood. So we asked we tried hubby never ended up eating that evening. I had fish trout for starter he thought he was having slices of chicken as thats what the waitress said...

Nothing outstanding about our stay. Room was dated, bed just a double, not very comfy and sheets very papery. Bathroom basic. A glorified travellodge! Breakfast was ok, Full English was bare, very small portion and obvious everything had been pre-cooked then just reheated. Poached egg resembled a hard boiled egg and no baked beans on offer. Staff all seemed helpful...
