Great cottage and camping resort on the shores of Rice Lake, Ontario. Cottages are very clean and equipped with all the basic items you will need. Resort owners are very friendly and accommodating. Great value for the money, facilities have everything you need without paying for all the bells and whistles you don’t. We have been renting a cottage there each year for about 13 years now and have never had a bad experience. Pontoon and 9.9 hp fishing boats available for rent to catch that trophy fish. Caught lots of fish there over the years. If your looking for a great place to spend your holiday, this is it.

The place to spend a weekend with spectacular/ sunset views. Sunset Cove resort is a MUST destination to enjoy life’s priceless moments. Cami and Hoi are the best host, we loved the picturesque view, the serenity of the place, a great fishing experience and of course the ice cream . We will come again. Thank you much! 😊

Went to Sunset Cove Resort for little getaway with a couple of friends for a 2 days trip. The host Cami and Huy were really supportive and responsive to arrange our pre arrival. Nice, clean cottage was comfortable to stay over. We had went nearby trails, enjoyed kayaking and Barbecue over there. We were happy to meet Walley and Baobao (the adorable sheep). Giving us hassle-free in activity planning. We hope to try fishing under the stunning view there next time🌅. Highly recommended

We have been going to Sunset Cove for about 15 years now and we are never disappointed. It's the best place to be with your family and have nature right outside your door. Friendly owners. Always makes us feel right at home. Beautiful cottages and excellent area to fish, swim or just relax and read a book......we are looking forward to going again next month..

We rented a trailer spot for camping. Rude note left on the bathroom--racist note. We also rented a pontoon boat that had problems backing out as soon as we got it. We managed to use it for the day and didn't complain, but when we pointed it out to Bill when we brought it in, we were blamed for causing the damage!!! Never again. Avoid this place.

This resort has spectacular sunsets, great fishing and a nice beach for the guests. The owners, Bill and Corry. always ensure the guests safety in a number of ways. They do not let non-guests wander around the resort unattended. If you want a tour of the resort, phone ahead and check in at the office when you arrive. Very simple. Bill and Corry are so helpful to their guests and it is no wonder why their repeat customers have been coming back for many years. This was our second year and have already booked for next year. We hope to return to Sunset Cove for many years to come. Thanks for a great week, Bill and Corry!

Sunset Cove is one of our family's favorite vacation spots. The fishing is great and they have great boat rentals, de-scalers, and fish-cleaning huts. The cottages are very clean and well-kept. They have everything you need! No cable, satellite, or WiFi - great to unplug and relax.

We visited Sunset Cove as part of my sons first big fishing trip to Canada with his grandfather over US Memorial Day weekend.

We had a great time and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fishing trip at Rice Lake.

The hosts Hoi and Cammie were outstanding (sorry if I misspelled) and super helpful. It’s always nice to have someone to throw that line to when docking the boat. :)

The accommodations were very clean and look like they’ve recently updated. The kitchenette had most everything you need equipment wise for basic meals. The only thing I wasn’t totally prepared for was the linens situation. Make sure you take bed sheets, bath towels, dish towels, paper towels, tissues, etc. They do mention this on their web site but we could have done a better job of planning.

Also, there’s a market close by to get a few basics you might have forgotten (The Red Barn) but it seems if you need more than the basics your next stop is Peterborough which is about 40min away.

Lastly, they don’t call it Sunset Cove for nothing. Make sure you catch the sunsets!!

We looked for this type of a getaway and were so pleased with the outcome! Corry and Bill worked so hard to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed.
Cottage was very well stocked and spotless. Grounds were immaculate. These are owners who care for their amazing property.
Thanks for a great time. Your hospitality was incredible.
