What more could you want. Locally brewed Sixpenny Handley bitters (including Alvediston Ale). Sit back and chill but make sure you've got a lift home! Beer garden with farm animals and local wildlife make a summer's day visit a must.

So, it's quite a late review but so to give the future guests and maybe owners to heed and be enlighten of why this will be a disappointing review unfortunately. Booked for an ensuite for just a night (Saturday) stay coz we are attending an event very early on the following day (sunday). Saturday late afternoon I got in touch...

This was a nice little place, very quaint. They had a dog in the bar which was cute! Our room was upstairs at the back and overlooked the garden. The shower was small and basic but did the job. Clean but the décor very dated. It kind of added to the country bumpkin aesthetic. The breakfast was good, the sausages...

Brilliant pub, lovely experience, met up with other members of our family to view our new puppy who was in the village. There is no mobile reception and we didn't know where exactly we were going , no problem the landlord knew who we were looking for and even let us order our food and come back afterwards. I can recommend...

Lovely place, lovely food comfortable rooms. Good beer. Friendly owners. Would visit again. Very peaceful location which would make a good base to visit surrounding area. We stopped here on our way to visit monkey world. Which was en route.

Booked here to get away from the drudge of work. And proved to be a good choice. Lovely food comfortable rooms friendly owners(bad jokes from lanlord but tolerable) would definitely go again, we took the opportunity to go to monkey world sanctuary Near Wareham. Great day that's another review.

Quirky but nice experience. After phoning to check timing and availability for 6 of us for lunch and being told it was fine fine the landlord still looked surprised to see us even though the place was empty. He also seemed more than happy to let us walk away when he said there was only roast lunches and no vegetarian...

I can't rate this beautiful little pub more highly. An overnight weekend stay here makes you feel you've been on holiday for a week - it's so quiet and peaceful, hidden away in the countryside, with loads of great walks and stunning views nearby. The food and beers are great and plentiful and the hosts couldn't be more hospitable -...

A picture-postcard of an inn (15th century?), way out in the sticks (beautiful countryside), but you can entirely believe the overwhelmingly good (previous) reviews. The owners work so hard at making their guests comfortable, and deserve every praise they get - thank you!! We only stayed one night, and being Sunday morning, strolled the very quiet village before breakfast. A...

I recently went here with my family for an evening meal, and it was wonderful. They had a great menu (veg and non-veg) and although we had a odd order they didn't blink an eye. In fact our host was very welcoming and I just wish i could remember her name, i really can't praise this place enough.
