This lodge, an old hunting lodge, lies on a mountainside with an amazing view of the ocean below and the coastal plain with ots towns. It has its own large estate in which roams a herd of deer, a remainder of its hunting days. Nice to see animals on this mammal-lean island, even though they are not endemic. The lodge...

Had a great stay here for 3 nights, service was excellent with good food. We ate at the hotel all 3 nights as it was a long twisty drive to get to the hotel. The open fire in the lounge was great and we managed to reserve a table right by the fire on our last night which was great....

This was our first hotel on our first visit to Reunion. Very good hotel and worth putting on your short list for a visit. Very good rooms, view and food and with a few improvements could be outstanding. The negatives are that it is on the wrong side of the island and rains there a lot, the road up is...

The drive up to the lodge was interesting, especially as we'd not been driving on the island long. The sugar cane and winding roads gave for an interesting focus. The lodge was very welcoming and the rooms are well furnished. However it is worth noting that the bathroom is part of the living area, so make sure you are happy...

This hotel has wonderful views along the coast of the island and is a great place to base yourself for climbing Piton de la Fournaise (about 2 hours drive away). The restaurant was the best in La Reunion and the bar a lovely place to relax for a pre-dinner drink. The rooms were a little small for a luxury lodge...

... driving up that winding road. When you go there for the first time you might doubt it, but... Nice view, friendly multilingual staff, infinity pool with view of a good part of La Reunion. Arguably the best spot with accomodation on this unique island.

We stayed at the lodge for three nights and had dinner there during those three nights. When booking a stay there, it is important to remember that there are no restaurants in the vicinity and even if there were, the very narrow and winding road to the lodge would not be safe at night. Having said that, we were delighted...

It’s a great place to arrive after the uphill drive through the cane fields. Wonderful view from the room. Nice heated pool. We were only missing WIFI in the room. The staff were all extremely friendly and very professional. The hotel is clearly very well managed. Best dinners we had in Reunion! Very good wine choice! Hope to come back...

We recently stayed at Diana Dea Lodge and we were less than impressed considering it was the most expensive place we stayed at during our trip around Reunion. The check in staff was quick and courteous and the rooms are nicely furnished. We arrived around 12:30/1:30pm and were interested in having some lunch, but were informed that they had already...

When we visited Diana Dea, the weather was awfull, luckilly our room made up for that. The views are stunning (when the mist clears up), the room was beautifully decorated, and the bathtub with the view was well-used :) the restaurant served great food (a bit pricey), and the staff was very helpfull. The drive uphill is a challenge, so...

“We had a standard room which was perfectly fine - all of the rooms overlook the ocean so it's really a question of size. I think the superior rooms have a separate shower which may be a consideration. There are a couple of ground floor rooms which open directly onto the grass; the bonus is the deer might come up to see what's going on but you also don't have as much privacy as with a balcony.”
