Anne-Marie and André are exceptional host in a wonderful village in France. Anne-Marie is an exceptional cook who provides some wonderful breakfast fare. The B&B has a wonderful view of the valley and a lovely breakfast area. Anne-Marie provided great suggestions of where we should go and what to do. There is a wonderful restaurant 100 meters from the B&B.... More

Anne-Marie and André are the perfect hosts, with no details spared to welcome us. The room is large and quiet, but the odd mixture of furnishings somewhat lacking in charm. Such a shame for such a lovely building. It was spotlessly clean, but lacked the "wow" factor that some old French houses exude. A shame too that Anne-Marie was too... More

My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights in September. The accommodation is superb, with comfortable beds, free wifi and very clean facilities. The couple that runs Le Relais des Abbesses is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed sitting together for the yummy breakfast and talking to them. I can't say enough good things about them. The location... More

The owners obviously like having guests around and do their best to make your stay nice and pleasant. Loads of information and tips on the area, nice and clean rooms with great views on the valley, good breakfast and good fast wifi connection (some may find this a bit silly to mention, but it just makes yor stay a little... Anne-Marie and Andre are charming hosts. We had a lovely comfortable and clean room at the top of the B&B and were able to park our motorbike in the private car park opposite. Lovely breakfast of local produce. Excellent value for money, especially considering the standard of the breakfast. Beautiful village and amazing views, we intend to return to the... More

A very comfortable B&B set in a picturesque cliff top village with great views over the surrounding vineyards. We stayed at Le Relais des Abbesses for two nights, while exploring Jura. Anne-Marie and André were the perfect hosts, taking the time to help us plan our days and ensuring that we were comfortable. The room (Agnes) was comfortable, with plenty of space and beautiful views cross the valley. Breakfast each morning was abundant and delicious - a mix... More

André the owner gave us a very friendly and warm welcome. The rooms are simple but nice and the view from some of the rooms and definitely the breakfast area is fantastic. Breakfast was very tasty and is included in the room price. Only the beds are a bid small (I'm 1.85 tall and I just about fit into the... More

Small villages and small towns are one of the main themes for travelers going to Europe (especially for car travelers). But unlike 10 years ago, most of the famous small villages is really crowded these days; too much tourist feels, expensive, crowded, etc.. The village of Chateau Chalon is one of the remaining gems where you can still get a... More
