Yolande and Roger made us very welcome....lovely place and lovely breakfast....no TV was wonderful....peace and quiet....quaint hotel with lots of history.....we never got chance to view the gardens as we had a tight schedule....we will definitely go back there.

Made very welcome as usual - comfortable bedroom, spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast menu and delightful company. The day rounded off drinking the homemade brew or just a cuppa with Roger and Yoland, always a fund of interesting conversation. The revamping of the garden has been an enormous task but sensational.

Booked b&b for a stop over during work. Was criticised from the moment I arrived. First thing not happy with size of my vehicle ( only a vw crafter van), then because it was only booked at 6pm was advised I shouldn't have expected anyone there when I got there (9.30,pm,and had already precalled to say what time I would...

Brownhill House is a B & B, and it also has a fascinating garden.Roger & Yoland run their B & B as well as managing a huge & difficult garden on a very steep slope with a river at the bottom! They are members of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) & open their garden at least 3 times a year....

We only stayed one night, but we were made very welcome. bedroom was very comfortable and warm, bedding and towels spotless. had a wonderful walk around the gardens, even in the winter really interesting and lovely view over the valley. Cooked breakfast was nicely cooked with lots of choice, would definitely stay again.

I didn’t have the highest expectations of the quality of room etc from looking at the website for Brownhills but we only needed a one night stay and were pleased to hear of the 5* hospitality on offer and at times feel this counts for more than modern top notch furniture. What I didn’t expect was to find a damp,...

I am so glad Brownhill House popped up as the closest available option for my needs. Booking a B+B for a whole week is scary, because if it's bad, you're stuck! This was my dilemma when booking for a place to stay while attending the Welsh National Eisteddfod 2015 in Meifod. I have to admit I booked Brownhill House, while...

We stayed for one Saturday night, and really enjoyed it. A warm welcome and good recommendations for local evening food (we went for a curry in baschurch, also really good) Comfy bed in a large 2+1 bedroom, and fast wifi. Perhaps slightly dated but not out of character with the property or area. Beautiful garden and value for money. Breakfast...

So accommodating. Yonda was kind enough to light the open fire and served a brew to welcome us in from the cold. Cosy, warm and homely cottage with character. The house keepers Yonda and Roger kept us entertained during breakfast with stories of how they came into the business. Great food, lovely bedroom. The garden is just wow; a beautiful,...

We so enjoyed our stay at Brownhill House! The double room is extremely comfortable and quiet, and Roger and Yo are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was amazing - be sure and ask for Yo's corned beef hash! The gardens are spendid as well. A perfect example of Engish country hospitality. We hope to return again soon.
