Bay Villa Lodge is an awesome place to stay. The scenery is out of this world. My cottage is right on the water. Easy for my boat and the kids to swim. I am not a fisherperson but they were sure catching some!
Town is close too so easy to grab groceries and trails for walking close by.
New owners making lots of upgrades. Looks great!
Definitely going back again!!

The lodge consists of a great little collection of rustic cottages/cabins at the mouth of the river where it enters The North Channel of Lake Huron, near Manitoulin Island. The cottages are well maintained, as the owners are in the process of renovating each in turn. While some of our friends enjoy the traditionally rustic experience of the unrenovated cabins, we stayed in one that was recently completed, and greatly enjoyed the stay. The cabin still had the character of a little hunt/fishing cabin, but had excellent window screens, a proper little bathroom, and kitchen, as well as a screened-in porch for watching the world float by on a summer afternoon. The kitchens were especially well outfitted, with microwave, coffeemaker, gas stove and oven, as well as a wide variety of cooking tools (BBQ is also provided for those who prefer to cook outside the kitchen). The beds were comfy and the rooms pleasantly decorated. Heating is also provided as they are open in the winter for snowmobilers, etc.
The couple who own the place (Judy and Don) are very friendly and helpful. For those interested in boating, there is a pier right along the waterfront, just metres from some of the cabins. The breeze off the water cooled the cabins right down at night, making our stay very comfortable.
