All staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating the room was lovely and clean with a great shower and comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was beautifully done with plenty to fill you up for the day. I would definitely recommend and I would stay again.

Didn’t know what to expect from the reviews but this place is lovely. We were nicely greeted and taken through to our room in a small annex. The bedroom was very nicely presented with a separate seating area and reasonable sized bathroom. All were very clean. The bathroom had a heated floor which was very welcome as we have stopped in annexes before where the tiles were just too cold. Evening meal was really very nice, each course was very tasty from venison starter to cheeseboard. Drinks and wine were all reasonable for this type of hotel. Breakfast was not quite as well organised, with our group of 4 having to sit at separate tables as we were not expected as a group and items being taken to the wrong table, but the food again was very nice and the staff friendly. Staff were all very friendly throughout, don’t always expect to find staff on the desk but there was always someone not far away to sort out any issues. Overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend. Would also recommend just for a meal as the restaurant was quaint and lovely for a romantic meal.

It’s a little off the beaten track but that was, for me the only down side. We were warmly welcomed by Samantha, and she took me to my room and offered to help with my luggage. Nice room, molton brown toiletries were a nice touch. Slept well. Food was good and the bar area was nice.

This is a well kept hotel in attractive grounds. We had a basic double room but it was very spacious and very clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good and our evening meal in the restaurant was excellent.

For business trips I normally am obliged to stay in a preimier Inn but saw this hotel seemed better value and higher quality and I'm so glad I took the plunge. It is a different league from the standard chain hotel and would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Lastly and not least I must commemd the chef and kitchen staff as the food is stunning. I'm not one to over exaggerate but the food was superb and I eat out a lot and this was some of the best food I've had in a hotel.

If this is the 'white room' on the ground floor the pictures are better than the room in reality. Our friends stayed in this room. It's ok, The bathroom is nothing special. We stayed upstairs. If you can find my review under Lynn Mander there are more details on there about room numbers. Our room was better than the white beamed room if that's the one you mean.

The room I stayed in had a large bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle. The shower was not an over bath one but was in the same room
