A perfect place to stay if you are spending a few days in Alsace located in a tiny village close to the Rhine and minutes away from the Alsace wine country. The extremely well appointed and decorated guest rooms are all upstairs and ensuite in a separate building from the home of the owner, Pierrette. Down stairs is a large and comfortable sitting, dining, kitchen area with roaring log fire. Rustic ambience but with all modern comforts! Breakfast served in this downstairs room on great oak table in best French style from the feshly baked bread to the crockery and homemade jams.

My wife and I stayed at the Ambiance Jardin for two nights en route to Geneva. The only mistake and disappointment was we didn't stay there for longer. Pierette is a wonderful host making you feel at home straight away with a welcoming drink and a fantastic command of different languages. She and her husband live in the house next to the converted barn that is for the use of the guests. We had the Hydrangea room that was spacious, well appointed with a seperate toilet and shower. Everything was immaculately clean and everywhere you look there are details and decorations that show what a great eye Pierette has. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the garden that is an oasis of calm. Breakfast was served downstairs or in the garden and couldn't be faulted.

Pierette provided us with local maps and great advice of what to see in our limited time in Alsace, in fact, she did everything she could possibly do to make our stay worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone.

We were here at Christmas a few years ago and had to return at spring to see the garden and flowers of the Alsace. This is a beautiful, B and B and the garden in bloom is spectacular! We had the lavender room with a wonderful terrace overlooking the garden. Pierette goes out of her way with all the special decorating touches and amazing breakfasts! Highly recommended, you won't be sorry!!

This B and B is a gem! On the scale of assessing valuable gems, it is a diamond. We stayed here for a week in May of this year, and got the weekly rate of about 82 Euros a day. It is a bargain. We join the multitude in singing its praises and that of its hostess, Pierrette. Without being redundant we wish to add the following observations. The pictures on the website and those of visitors do not adequately portray the size and charm of the rooms. We stayed in the Green room. It is huge. One enters an ante room, with a coat rack on the left and two separate rooms; one for a toilet and the other for a shower, tub and wash basin, which is large. Then you enter the forepart of the room where the lovely wardrobe is located and a round table. Then you enter the room itself which has a small sofa. This room can easily sleep three people. And in fact there is a daybed available. The covered porch area, barely visible from photos, is wide and comfortably sits three people. It has a wonderful view of the garden, as do all the rooms. This garden is what sets this B and B apart from its competitors. Pierrette has cultivated it for over 25 years and it is beautiful. It is a treat to look upon it while eating breakfast either in the dining area or weather permitting from tables and chairs in the garden itself. The size of the dining area is understated, too, in photos. The downstairs of the B and B is a great room. Three tables for guests are situated facing nine French doors overlooking the garden. At one end of the room are kitchen facilities for use by guests. This is a real plus for preparing snacks or a light meal at the end of the day. There is no oven or hot plate but there is a microwave, fridge all the utensils, plates and glasses one might need. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. Although the B and B is in a small village near the Rhine, it is an excellent base for exploring the Alsace and nearby Black Forest because most attractions are anywhere from 15 minutes to less than an hour and a half away. One example: Following Pierette's advice for a day visit to Strasbourg, we used the park and ride lot outside the city. For less than four Euros, we parked our car and got two round-trip tickets on the tram. From the time we left the B and B and when we arrived in the old city, it took less than 50 minutes. We haven't mentioned the breakfasts, which are elegantly presented and creative. Finally, no B and B hostess does more to make her guests comfortable and to help them than Pierrette. She is truly a diamond! Stay here; you will want to return. Final point: For those who have not visited this part of France, the museums are closed roughly between noon and 2PM and the main restaurants are only open for lunch between roughly 11:30 and 2:30, and do not open again until 6 or 6:30 PM at the earliest. You will have to plan your day accordingly, and refrain from being tempted to linger at breakfast, if you want to squeeze in a museum before lunchtime.

We have been traveling for over 25 years, and the Ambiance-Jardin is definitely our favorite Bed and Breakfast. The owner, Pierrette, could not be a more delightful and genuine person. Her pride and devotion to her garden, bed and breakfast, and customers creates a wonderfully memorable visit. The location was excellent for taking daily excursions. We visited wineries, beautiful wine road villages, Castle Haut Koenigsbourg, Colmar, and even the Black Forest. However, with all of the fantastic things that we saw, we keep talking about Pierrette and how we can't wait to return to her fairy tale Bed and Breakfast that is Ambiance-Jardin.

This place is awesome! When we arrived we regretted not getting there sooner and not being able to stay longer. Even in March the place was amazing.

Pierette is such a warm hostess. From the moment she led us into the converted barn that was to be our home for the night we were mesmerized!

We had booked all 4 rooms so the living/dining/kitchen area downstairs was all ours for the night, complete with tons of magazines, books, games and a fire! We were able to make tea and relax for the evening together! If you don't book all the rooms you would share it with whoever else is there for the night.

The next morning the fire was already going, coffee made, tea kettle hot when we came down. Next Pierette came in and put on a wonderful spread of a breakfast.

There was fresh bread, freshly baked pound cake, incredible homemade jams, local cheese and meat. The table setting had a lot of special touches including candles.

The rooms were all great! Very large! And all the bathrooms superior! All very clean!

We left all saying we would love to come back in the summer and see the garden. We felt this would be a great place to base out of for a few days...Colmar, Starsbourg, Black Forest by the ferry..lots around it. Also just to relax!!

As you can tell.....I am a fan of this place! I would defitinely recommend it.

Very lovely and quiet B&B in a tiny tipical village in Alsace. We spent 4 nights in the "green" bedroom (each room has a different colour, a different atmosphere) : we were warmly welcomed by Pierrette, who gave us good tips about nice trips in Alsace and prepared delicious breakfast ! The cherry on the cake : the garden, a peaceful heaven for flowers lovers.

We stayed for three nights and read a lot about this very nice place and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered Ambience Jardin we felt warmly welcomed and comfortable. Pierette and Jean-Luc are perfect hosts. Breakfast is an art - every morning different and served with love of detail and is so delicious 😋! The room “Fleurs de champs” is spacious, quiet and nicely decorated. Many guests return for several years and it is easy to understand why.
Many thanks for memorable stay!

We stayed with Pierrette and Jean-Luc in May 2017 and could not have been happier. They were wonderful hosts and the rooms were very comfortable. Their beautiful garden added to the serenity of their house. We highly recommend this B&B and would certainly stay there again. It is an ideal base from which to explore the wider Alsace area.
