Stayed here for new year and the following month for the caravan and motor home show at the SECC. Lovely well kept site as you would expect for a caravan club site. Shower block was immaculately clean and nice and warm. Lots of road works nearby but noise didn't bother us too much. Toby Carvery across the road and a...

My first visit to this site... We were at the end of our holiday adventure. The pitch is laid to gravel on top of hardcore which made it impossible to secure our awning - it was forecast high winds - so securing was a must considering my children sleep in the awning bedroom. There was also dog poo on the...

Arrived 1830 and checked in by pleasant couple at reception. Pitch large and level on gravel. Toilets and showers immaculate . The whole site is immaculate . The major motorway roadworks going on nearby makes a very loud noise all night and day, sadly spoiled the visit for us. Would be great next year if roadworks are finished by then....

Stopped here for a week in May. Although it has a busy road nearby, does not really bother you. Slept great. Shower blocks spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Would recommend staying here anytime. Handy for travelling South or North. Friends of ours were only booked for a night but stayed longer as it is so handy. Minibus available to...

Stopped here to break the journey on our way to Oban/West Coast of Scotland, also because it is handy for visiting family. Facilities great, good sized hard-standing pitches. Was not as noisy as we expected given the close proximity to major roads/roadworks going on. Staying here on our way back home down south at the end of the month. Would...

Stayed for two nights with our campervan. Friendly welcome, chose our own pitch from those available, the facilities were brilliant - spotlessly clean. The site is within easy walking distance of a Toby restaurant, a theme park ( some of it indoors), lovely walks around the lake, children's play facilities and easy access to the City. (Try to choose a...

My daughter and I stayed in our tent from the 1st June 2016 until Sunday the 5th June. We were met and introduced to the park by Chris! Immediately friendly and extremely helpful. The camp site it's self was wonderful. Clean and tidy , with the cleanest facilities I've ever seen. Guy-Christines husband always on site ready to lend a...

I stayed here for two nights in my tent, The site is very clean and tidy staff also friendly. Toilets and showers very clean the only down side is that I had to wait both mornings for a free shower. There are two shower blocks but the tent block was not open yet as I think it was to early...

The site is a perfect location for Glasgow. I can only praise the site staff. I had a problem with my car, I had planned to stay only one night then travel further north. The staff contacted the site at Bunree and canceled my booking there also helping with dealing with the recovery service.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled on the edge of picturesque parkland, Strathclyde Country Park Caravan Club Site is the perfect holiday location for the entire family. On-site facilities include a woodland walk, play area for young children, as well as modern family washrooms and disabled facilities. There are also a handful of pitches suitable for larger outfits, which can be arranged through the warden. The country park is a pleasant ten minute walk from the site, with 1,000 acres of mature woodlands, wetlands, wildlife refuges and neat open parkland, set around Strathclyde Loch, offering unique bird and nature watching, miles of walking and cycle routes, as well as a whole range of watersports and golf. There are also several sites of historic interest within the parkland, such as the Bothwellhaugh Roman fort and bath house, and the nearby M and D's Theme Park is a great day out for kids. The shops and museums of Glasgow are within easy reach of the site and, further afield, Loch Lomond, Stirling and Edinburgh are within an hours drive, making this site an ideal base for exploring Southern Scotland. Tent camping Strathclyde Country Park welcomes tent campers and has tent pitches available to both members and non-members. Pitches can be booked online or by phone - To do this and to find out further tent camping information, take a look at the Strathclyde tent camping page...
