Visited with the family including 2 kids. Here is the thing you need to look for... the homemade burger. To be precise... the village burger.. this was the BEST i have ever had. The taste was unreal, so fresh and looked like it was handmade. Other meals we had were the club sandwich, sausage and mash and the fish goujons....

We enjoyed our overnight stay, staff friendly and efficient, food good, large portions. Located on the edge of the quiet village green, so if you have had a long drive, good to stretch the legs and take in fresh air well away from the sound and smells of traffic. We stayed in the 'green room', clean, quiet, comfortable and perfectly...

My sister and I have eaten here 4-5 times since December and the food is great. I have never been disappointed with my meal or the service. Great place for lunches and celebrations. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food always leave contented 😀

We stopped here for lunch today part way through a walk in the local area. I chose it based on existing reviews, and they weren't wrong! Staff were all friendly and efficient, and the food was outstanding - really good value for money. We had originally intended to stop for a sandwich or a burger before continuing our walk, but...

We had a great stay here on our way up to and back from Scotland. It was the perfect place for an overnight stop. The chalet type rooms are separate from the main Inn which makes them very quiet. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable with big fluffy towels, mini toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities with breakfast included...

Great service and food. We had a lovely stay, including a Saturday night meal. An interesting menu and a good selection of beers. It is very good value for money and the breakfast was top notch. Fast and consistent wifi signal in the room. A good alternative to chain B&B.We will return.

The rooms are away from the pub and they are clean comfortable and quiet. We ate at the pub and the steak was excellent, breakfast was a good- all locally sourced-little cold I'm afraid, but the staff were nice. The pub itself is warm and welcoming, with a lovely fire going, would definitely recommend it if you're touring the dales.
