Where do I begin? I looked up some information about the hotel prior to the visit. It looked decent; 3-bedroom villas with a table and kitchen area. Cholapruek Resort is about 100 km from Bangkok and 10 km from the provincial capital of Nakhon Nayok, nestled in the countryside and surrounded by rice fields. The resort's website promotes a "back-to-nature" scenario with pictures of canals and pretty flowers, but the resort grounds contain what seems to be an excessive amount of tossed trash and litter. I noted that even their gardeners contribute to the mess, using semi-full trash containers to carry their clippings to the nearest open field before dumping everything. I also noted...

We got an English cottage numbered as D15 for one night (Saturday 23 March 2013). There were 4 power outlets in our bedroom but only one was with power. We two had to share the only outlet just to recharge our phones. In its very smelly closet, we found some used shirts of the room's previous guest. A half-drunk water...
