We stayed at Uthai River Lake Resort for one night on our way from Wat Tasung to Erawan National Park.

We found the location as being a small oasis for relaxation - the surroundings are very beautiful and you could not ask for anything more than what you will find there.

If you are in for a relaxing getaway in Thailand countryside that is not far away from the major places to visit in the area this is the perfect choice.

The staff is very helpful, always there to respond to your needs.
The breakfast was very pleasant - we enjoyed good weather on the lawn, glancing at the lake in the morning sun.

We would enjoy coming back here.

We went there recently and our family enjoy our stay. The view from the resort overlooking the lake is stunning, a real relaxing breakaway from Bangkok.

Uthai River Lake Resort was used as our first stop-over on our descent of the Chao Phraya River by kayak from Nakhon Sawan to Samut Prakan. The resort could be reached by kayak via the lake but takes 63 Km. As we found 50+ kilometers paddling enough for one day, we requested the resort manager to pick us up at the landing of Wat Hat Thanong. This was organized promptly and timely by the management.

We got a twin bungalow with terrace and view over the lake. The resort was badly hit by the giant flooding in 2011 and gardens as rooms were done over again. The accommodation is spread over a lush garden with a nice small swimming pool.

The rooms were large and comfortable with air-conditioning, satellite television and filled refrigerator. The bathroom had a shower corner separated from the toilet and wash table.

The service was very friendly and well. For a Saturday, it was rather quiet at the resort; but as it is situated in no where's-land, this might be its charm. Here you can destress and find rest within a bit of nature. The resorts offers bikes and kayaks for the sporty people.

We enjoyed the incoming darkness with a cool drink at the lake. There is a night guard on the premises, who cared very well. Diner was not a real 5-star degustation, but quite fair. Breakfast was the classic two eggs and Thai sausages on a salad leaf accompanied by a slice of tomato, toast, coffee and orange juice.

The price of the accommodation might be a bit high, but we can understand it after the flood touched this place.

Older property, nice location but over priced for offerings.
Basic room, our room, superior had no view except the back of the Resturant, tune TV, have not seen one of these for many years! Pool ok, kayaks available but did not use. Location is not on Google however the property have erected signs from googles location to the property, about a further 2 km.

We stay at this resort for an stop over to kanchanaburi, it's an quite place during the week, and for us it was all good, had the delux bungalow , it's an big outdated but still very acceptable.
Food in the restaurant was really good, Thai style, and the breakfast was an fixed menu not to bad.
The staff was help full although they don't speak much English but hey it's Thailand with some patience all will be good!

For me it was worth an stay over after good food and an good sleep, for the next day on the road again.

JL.

This is a truley beautiful oase. I have been traveling around many places, but i must say that uthai river Lake resort by far is one of the ultimate best places for Relaxtaion.

The sorroundings Are completly outstanding, just by the river Where you get the full nature experience. The area is very green and quite to walk or bike around in and you Can take the kayak around the river if you like or lie at the poolside.

The rooms are very spacious and clean with a beautiful bathroom, air condition, minibar and television, i would recommend the delux room with a river view, Where you Can just sit On the porch and enjoy the atmosphere.

The owners are a family that are very helpfull with everything that you need, the will give you good tips On the local tempels and markets around the area.

All and all the perfect place to go if you need to relax and take a breath for a minut and it is only a short trip from bangkok City. I am looking very much forward to coming back!

We stayed one night at the resort over the weekend. The location is by the river and is convenient for us to ride a bike around the area. Deluxe room is next to a small canal adjacent to the river, decorated in a local style, comfort and clean. The resort is operated by owner and family therefore everything is possibly arranged and served in a locally-made style. Breakfast has two choices i.e eggs with toast or rice soup in Thai style and coffee/tea and fresh fruits in season. There is a small swimming pool at the resort as well.
