As part of a tour had occassion to stay at River Kwai Resotel a week or so ago. It was a very scenic location and it was kind of fun staying in the little bungalows there. Getting to the main lodge by boat was another fun aspect. The rooms were simple but clean and sufficient. The food was pretty good... More

How to review the River Kwai Resotel? It isn't easy since the property was and is catering to group visitors. The overall compound with its rather sizable land is great to stroll around in free time. The approach to the property by long-tail boat is interesting however can be inconvenient for local residence with their own car. The short fall... More

I was been there for three days. The resort is very amazing, but what very fascinate me were the organized tour. Our guide, Bobo, take us to laws cave, Sayoke waterfall, Mon village and The Dead railways. It has been a very fantastic experience. The personal at resort were very kind and the food was very good.

This hotel is well located near the river Kwai. The transport with a long tail boat to the hotel gives a good jungle feeling. The rooms are located in separate cabins which are comfortable and cosy. The swimmng pool is a great place to relax.

We have never stayed anywhere like this before, totally different but amazing experience.we stayed for 3 nights and one day went into kanchanaburi and one day to hellfire pass.it is away from everything, you are not in walking distance even when you get to the pontoon.but the hotel offers a driver service at a cost.See Tuk Tuk she arranged the day around... The place is so beautiful, and staff is very friendly. We had an amazing time, and would definitely recommend it. You need to catch a long-tailed boat to get there which per se is a great experience. You can visit a near village and learn about the MOM people. Food was good.

After a full on day of sight seeing we caught a river boat to the Resotel. This was a brilliant speedy ride along the river. The Resotel is in a beautiful setting & so welcoming. We had a lovely lunch & headed to our thatched roof bungalow with, aircon, large bedroom & a wonderful shower. Followed by a cool swim... More

During a 10 day tour of Thailand my group stayed at the River Kwai Resotel on days 4/5. At first, the location frightened me. The fact that you have to take a boat from the mainland to the resort is something I'm not use to. It looked like a scene from a horror movie. However, once we arrived, the location... More

We traveled here as part of a tour group, after leaving Bangkok. As we arrived it started to rain but did not spoil anyone's excitement to ride in long boats to get to our resort. The property is beautiful with AMAZING views and rustic charm while still offering us modern conveniences. These beautiful thatched huts are inviting with air conditioning,... More
