Spent the night at The Padocks at Kuilfontein. This place is really pretty, it is clean, and the staff are energetic and eager to help you. The rooms are comfortable, the cottage we stayed in had two bedrooms, one with a bath and rhe other with a shower. Even though it was a chilly evening the rooms were warm and...

Kuilfontein guest farm was a pleasant surprise and much nicer than the website photos lead one to believe. I last stayed here en route to Cape Town in 1996! The Paddocks are newer "family" units separate from the main farmstead. Country Life-style decor with polished concrete floors. 2 spacious bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. Nice shower in one...

Lovely tranquil place. We had a great stop over on our way to Cape Town from DBN, they happily accommodated our dogs as well. The unit was well furnished and really cosy. I highly recommend the stay. Great stop for anyone traveling with horses too.

Like most people I guess we were just passing through for a day. However, this is a great little spot a few miles outside Colesburg. The room was very nicely furnished and full of interesting bits and pieces. There is a lovely little bar to have pre dinner drinks and the owners are good people to have a chat with....

Unlike many people we talk to my wife and I enjoy the long drive from the centre of South Africa (Johannesburg) to the Western and Eastern Cape. The perfect halfway stop for us is this hostelry. The Stables are refurbished stables that were used when the farm bred and raised race horses. Now they provide a relaxed and very pleasant...

Very friendly & helpful staff especially since we only checked in at 21h00... Stayed at the paddocks self catering units big enough for two couples. Cozy & well furnished, the electric blankets are a very nice touch. Definitely worth it!!!

We stayed at the self catering Paddocks and it could not have been better, fully equipped (Stove, Microwave, fridge etc) very clean en suite accommodation with TV excellent value for money and we took their offer to have precooked meals for dinner, which we heated up in the microwave, tea and coffee provided. Comfortable beds. Play area for the children...

We have stayed at a number of places to break the journey from Gauteng to Western Cape. Kuilfontein is by far the best option that we have found. Quaint converted farm cottages as rooms, three course set menu with local lamb starring, inclusive of wines. Excellent choice of breakfast. Very pleasant management who make visitors feel very welcome. Peaceful setting,...

I overnighted at The Paddocks on the Kuilfontein Farms estate just two weeks ago. Situated in its own oasis a little way off the N1 just before Colesberg in the middle of the Karoo on the way back from Cape Town, this is a gem of a place that you should definitely experience for yourself. There are three different accommodation...
