Beautiful place. The Skala of Patmos is a few kilometers below the country and the Cave of Revelation, located in the middle of the station from Skala in Chora. It has picturesque cliffs and many shops with tourist items and food (cafes and taverns). To get to Patmos you can come by ferry from Piraeus or by plane to Samos and Kos and from there by ferry. Patmos has beautiful beaches with sand or fine gravel and clear waters. It is worth visiting and staying for several days for relaxation and beautiful holidays.

We only stayed 1 night at Byzance hotel on our 2 days excursion from Kos to Patmos. The hotel is in a quiet small street, at 6 minutes walking from the harbour, the busstop for Chora and shops and restaurants. We had a renovated, very clean and nice room with a lovely four poster bed with curtains, very romantic, and a big bathroom. The owners of the hotel are very friendly and try to help you. Airco in the room works good. The small buffet breakfast, now served on a plate for you, because of the Covid 19, is more than sufficiënt. You can eat it in the cozy restaurant or outside on the quiet street terrace. On the roof, there is another terrace with a beautiful view at the harbour. Because the ferry to Kos left from Patmos at 22h35, we may hold our room untill 14 h for free, and we were able to stock our luggage, and to use the toilets and the terraces untill we left. That was very comfortable, so thanks for this. The hotel has 2 stars, perhaps because there is no elevator, but for us, it deserves at least 3 stars. For the price you pay, you get really a lot! Should stay here again. And Patmos is just a lovely island.

Husband & I stayed here for 1week. Due to the dreaded covid Patmos & the Byzance Hotel were very quiet, this did not stop the service or quality of our stay. Our room was lovely, kettle, large fridge with freezer compartment for ice, toiletries in bathroom, large balcony with clothes line/pegs (always useful), room was cleaned every day & towels/sheets every other day. 5 mins from ferry, so no need for a taxi. Breakfast was superb & lots if it. Would we come back ? ABSOLUTELY

The reception of the gentleman, who is probably the Owner, was not ⁇ friendly and polite. When I asked his name, he didn't answer. As for the cleanliness on the first day when I returned at 2:00 p.m. the room was still not cleaned. When three days passed I reminded them that there was no change of sheets. The first night I discovered the existence of an over-sized cockroach and contacted the reception. The response had a dose of irony and was generally considered very normal. The next night I was faced again with a cockroach. After paying the municipal tax and asking for a receipt, I was asked for my email and details to send an electronic receipt, which never happened.
Generally the impressions are negative and the only positive was the location of the hotel in relation to the distance from the center.

Disgusting place we found cockroaches. The rooms were not renovated as they advertise extremely small and humid. The owner had no manners at all terrible customer service and overall a very bad experience. If you want to ruin your experience in Patmos stay at this “hotel”.

Great location. Simple hotel, has clean rooms. Dinos the owner hands on, and the staff is very helpful. There are many good restaurants and cafes around hotel. You can reach city center in 5 minutes. You can also swim in 10 min walking distance. Overall, great value for your money. Breakfast was 5 Euros, and awesome. Cant beat this.

Very nice location, rooms (I was staying in the main building) are completely renovated.
The position is perfect, close to the centrum and the port. You can easily reach all beaches. Owners and staff are all very nice ready to help you. Breakfast is complete with a nice buffet. If you look for a simple but cosy location with all conforts is the right place.

The hotel is very conveniently located being only a 5 minute walk from the ferry dock. Our room had air conditioning, TV (only Greek channels) and an ensuite bathroom, and the room was spacious. The receptionist didn't seem to speak much English so our arrival did result in some confusion but after a few minutes we got our key ok. The breakfast was very good, toast, yoghurt and cake were served together with some juice and coffee.

It isn't the most luxurious of hotels, but was clean and quiet. We paid 70 euros per night for bed and breakfast, but that is around the going rate for Patmos.

OK, we were there before the start of the season, but we were the only people in the hotel, and that includes the manager, who left after serving breakfast every morning. We were put in a charmless building across the street from the main hotel, which had a lovely view of the back balcony of the home in front of us. The room was plain and barely adequate. Maybe in season, if you can eat on top of the roof, it'd look more like the photos in the web site, but we never saw that.
