We stayed here one night bank holiday weekend. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. I eat a gluten free diet and the range of food was great, I don't think I've ever had so much choice. I had a three course meal and everything was freshly cooked. My husband enjoyed the real ales. The room we stayed in...

Have been visiting this pub for years and the menu is consistently good. My other half is also a fan of the beers on offer. The Church Inn is tucked away at the end of the village and is a cosy, traditional pub catering for locals and visitors and there is a small beer garden. It is always advisable to...

My husband and I stayed at the Church Inn to celebrate a very special birthday and could not have had a more wonderful time. Everything from the room, excellent food and very friendly staff was spot on and we have been telling all our friends!

Whilst staying at Beechcroft Farm campsite we walked over the dale to the Church Inn. It was a really busy Saturday night and stupidly we didn't think to book ahead. However, the barman managed to squeeze us into the one table that wasn't reserved for the evening. Excellent food, really friendly staff and they were rushed off their feet. Try...

A group of us camped in the local area and we really enjoyed our meal here. The Rabbit Suet pie was immense and the other meals looked good too. They have a good selection of ales so all in all a very good experience. I would have given 5 stars but there were a collection of flies in the main...

Thank you for your comments, glad you enjoyed your meals and ale! Unfortunately at this time of year there are a lot of flies about and with people wanting the doors and windows open there isn't much we can do and we cannot spray anything in the food serving area due to contamination. Hope to see you again in the...

Small but inviting pub in this village handy for interesting walks. Happily accommodated our group of dogs and walkers, friendly and helpful staff, good beer and wide selection of nicely presented food. Certainly somewhere to revisit if in the area

Very nice oldy world pub well kept and very clean. Always serve good food reasonable priced and home made. Been many times and never been disappointed, friendly staff and always helpful. One of our favourite places to visit in Derbyshire. Also has rooms available for anyone wanting a for nights break. Popular place for locals and serves great beer.

A wonderfully quaint Peak District gem of a pub/restaurant set a the top of Chelmorton village. The owner Justin is very welcoming, and a font of local knowledge except football. There is a comprehensive menu consisting of a wide choice of food for all tastes and appetites. A specials board provides a tasty choice of good locally sourced ingredients to...
