After completing the strenuous sitchback section of Offas's Dyke we were met with hospitality, tea/coffee and homemade cake. We also had a wonderful homemade evening meal and a super breakfast. Friendly, hospitable, service-minded host. Large, clean comfy twin room. Huge bathroom with shower and bath. Really reccomend this B&B.

My fellow walker had booked us in here for the end of our second day on the Offa's Dyke path. On arrival at the B&B we were awestruck by the superb northerly view from this location (just as awe-inspiring when viewed from the lounge and dining room). Hostess Lynne was customer-service personified, the accomodation was excellent and the breakfast (cereals/fruit...

We had a very nice stay at the Oakley B&B after a long walk on the Offa's Dyke Path. The hosts, Lynne and Ian, made us feel very welcome: tea and Welsh cakes on arrival, a spacious and clean room, great hot shower and wonderful views. Ian was so kind to drive us to dinner in the Castle Hotel in...

After a hard day walking this B&B was a very welcome haven. Fabulous views, fantastic food and all round excellent service from Lynne and Ian. We stayed at some great places on our walk but this stands out, and we would not hesitate to recommend it.

We 3 sisters stayed here on our Offa's Dyke walk and we cannot recommend it more highly as a wonderful place to stay. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, delicious food and such warm hospitality. Thank you both so much.

Excellent all round including the warm welcome from Lynn, the well appointed and spotlessly clean room and en-suite, the fantastic views, the comfortable bed and the full English breakfast next morning. Ideal If you're attending a wedding at Mellington Hall, as we were, but one bit of advice, book a taxi well in advance if you need one. Lynn is...

Spent one night here while doing the Offa's Dyke walk, welcomed by Lynn with a pot of tea and some delicious cake. The views from this property are outstanding. Our room with ensuite was on the ground floor, it was spotless and really comfortable. The best nights sleep on our whole journey to date. There is also a guest lounge...

Oakley B&B's location is nothing short of stunning! The views from here are around 160 degrees wide over the valleys and hills of both Wales and England. The welcome from Lynne Higgs was very friendly and warm. Watching grey wagtails and buzzards flying by was just another bonus. We were offered a hot drink and a cake on arrival in...

Highly recommend, from the friendly welcome with tea and cake from Lynne, to seeing us off this morning (Lynne and two labrador dogs), we had a great time and nothing was too much trouble. My friend is in a wheelchair and we were unable to stay at nearby Mellington Hall where we were attending a wedding so this was recommended...
