We were lucky enough to find Burton's Sunset Oasis while on our trip to Nova Scotia. What a perfect setting and the owners are an absolutely lovely couple. Our room had a fully stocked kitchenette but best of all was the view. Unfortunately we had a fair bit of rain but I could certainly spend more than one night in...

Stayed here for one night in October. Beautiful setting just off the Cabot Trail. Set on a hill with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Small motel. Very clean rooms. Everything you'd want in a housekeeping room. Nice bed. Clean, large bathroom with fluffy clean towels and facecloths. Coffee maker, microwave, 2 burner cooktop, fridge, sink with dish soap...

We got lost on the way in the fog. GPS lead us to wrong location. Owner answered our calls at 1 AM and guided us to the motel. Building is on the top of the hill overlooking ocean. You have Cabot trail scenery from the porch of your room. Village is typical Cape Breton, with wharf and fishing boats in...

I used to work on the road and pretty well lived in motels. This is the nicest motel I have ever stayed in. We went for a ride to meat cove and saw a cow moose along the way. Beautiful place and beautiful scenery. The staff was very friendly and inviting.

What a great place to relax. The motel was very clean. Full kitchen. It is on top of the hill with magnificent views and sunsets. My husband and I would return for sure. Beautiful sunsets. On top of the world.

These 5 cabins at the tip of Cape Breton Island have such a spectacular view that I smile when I recall it. It really is the meeting of the land and sea; with stunning sunsets too. I booked by phone and got rapid email confirmation. I had wanted to stay an extra day and Melvin (the Owner/manager) put me top...

Absolutely stunning location. Well equipped (except for dishcloth). Comfortable and clean. We cooked bacon rolls for breakfast and could have done more if we had realised that we were definitely going to have all the equipment we needed. For dinner the evening before, we picked up oysters and two lobster dinners from the Hideaway Campsite and Oyster Market towards South...

First off, I tend to go for high end hotels - like flagship name brands - which don't exist on Cape Breton Island. Burton's was as close as I get to camping! And in some ways, it was like camping. Don't stay in Bay St Lawrence if you want tourist services - restaurants, grocery stores, etc. They exist, but limited...

After doing the Cabot trail we looked on trip advisor for a room, most were booked or got a really bad rating! But this one was not on trip advisor so we thought we might as well try it! Are we ever glad we did! Such a comfy place over looking the water. We sat outside and all of a...
