Two nights here, a fortnight apart. Quiet, elegant rooms with, on each occasion, views across the River Loiret, with its ducks and occasional oarsmen. Lovely space on the ground floor in which to take advantage of the Wi-Fi (unaccountably poor in the bedrooms) and enjoy a drink, Excellent breakfast with waitress service made for peaceful starts to each day. I have stayed at Le Rivage on several occasions but the last two visits this summer were very disappointing. No bar staff available for an early evening drink. No hot water and when we complained we were told by the owner there was nothing he could do. The restaurant was excellent but we were hurried through dinner although the food...

Great location..rooms average and disappointed at dinner. Food was average but had no time to digest before the next course came and the waiter kept looking at his watch!!!! Very unusual in a French restaurant.

stayed in August 2016 - having heard good things about the hotel I was shocked at how bad it was. The restaurant itself is perfectly nice with a good view over the river - however it is over priced for what you get. also being next to the river means that whilst you are eating you are being eaten alive...

We stayed overnight at this lovely comfortable hotel with views of the Loiret River and had an amazing dinner on the terrace. Great food, cheese, dessert and wine. Whole experience was terrific. The walk along the river is not to be missed. A great place to stay whole touring the chateaus of the Loire.

Le Rivage, whilst lacking in architectural charm, is in a lovely position by the River. The hotel itself is relatively basic but what it does do well is found in the restaurant. The owner is clearly proud of his food as he mingles with the clientele, accepting the plaudits, but he has every reason to be as this is clearly...

When you first arrive at the hotel, it is at the rear of the property. Although this is the main entrance, it is untidy and not very welcoming.DO Not BE PUT OFF by this. Inside, the hotel is warm and friendly, smart looking too. We had a room which overlooked the river which flows right past the hotel, and gives...

wonderful food in a beautiful dining room served by waiters who know about the food and wine and care about the customer. The hotel was right on the bank of the river Loire, and it was lovely to have a walk before or after dinner along the banks.

Brilliant stop off on way south. Supper by the side of the river. Perfect setting; splendid food; good night's kip. Arrived in south west next day raring to go. Good breakfast in the morning. Fully acclimatised to France very quickly. Thoroughly recommended.

We have been coming here for over 30 years and the place still has the wow factor it had all those years ago, absolute tranquility and the possibility to sit by the side of the river and one of the best suppers you will ever eat, The proprietor still mingles with his guests like a mother hen and engaging and...
