We had a very nice stay at Sweet Virginia's in Metolius, Oregon. This is a gem hidden in a tiny farming community that otherwise doesn't have anything to offer tourist.. It fit well in our long weekend tour around northeast Oregon. That night's dinner we drove to Madras, about 5 miles down the road. Our breakfast was perfect with a...

We stayed one night at Sweet Virginia 's bed and breakfast. The 100-year old house is nicely restored and was a pleasure to stay in. Our room was large, well lit (lamp on each nightstand) and comfortable and had a cozy down duvet. The breakfast, yoghurt and home made granola followed by delicious scrambled eggs and potatoes, was excellent. The...

Sweet Virginia's B&B is a cozy retreat from the pressures of life. It has pristine views of the area from its front porch. We come here often to relax and enjoy the ambiance of a past era. Tryna, the proprietor, always makes us feel welcome. The homemade breakfasts she provides are wholesome and tasty. Beds are comfortable with quality linens....

This historical, lovingly restored B&B is a joy to visit! Located in Metolius, a few miles from Madras, it hearkens back to a time when neighbors sat on the front porch and greeted passersby. Tryna is a wonderful host who welcomes her guests with ease and offers the best B&B breakfast I have had. In the quiet of this small...

We stayed in the garden room, which was spacious and perfect when traveling with a dog (easy access to the completely fenced yard). The house sits in the middle of an old railroad town and across from a neighborhood park (makes for lovely views across the park to the sunset and amazing mountain peaks). It was fascinating to learn about...

It seems inadequate to call Sweet Virginia's a bed and breakfast, because the house is a real one on a real street in Metolius--itself a town that is well maintained, yet hardly seems to have aged since the 1950s. The interior has the natural feel of a home, with older style stoves but with all modern amenities--though you can forget...

Our time at Sweet Virginia's was an experience to be remembered -- I couldn't recommend a better place to stay while exploring central Oregon (we stayed in the Heritage Room with 4 people in late May). Sweet Virginia's has a welcoming personal touch and it's a relaxing, comfortable alternative to the sterility of chain hotels and motels. The historic house...

We stayed two nights in the Heritage room at Sweet Virginia's B&B. The room is large and comfortable, with a queen bed. We spent one day hiking at Smith Rock State Park, and it was so nice to come back to this cozy place and completely relax. Tryna went out of her way to accommodate us, as we wanted both...

Our night here was very comfortable. Bed & bathroom very clean. It was nice waking up to a lovely little breakfast. I was reminded of my grandmother's home. The house was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend!

What a great find we made in Metolius Oregon just outside Madras. This is in the heart of some of the finest Central Oregon vacation spots. Sweet Virginia is run by sweet Tryna who makes some of the best breakfasts especially her very own granola. If you are looking for a place to stay that is quiet and comfy-look no...
