Holm Hotel and Spa is truly a place for ‘DREAMS’, as the word ‘HOLM’ translated from Maltese means ‘DREAMS’ in English. This was part of the first fact our children learnt upon arrival, from their welcoming staff Cynthia.

We were frequently asked if we needed assistance with anything, if we needed additional towels, complementary water or just about how they could make our stay more comfortable.

Celebrating my husband’s 44th birthday could not have been better.

The manager ‘Jan’ was exceptionally helpful, tending to all our wants and needs. He even provided us with complementary champagne and cake as part of my husband’s celebration.

All the facilities, including the swimming pools (infinity pool on the roof and indoor pool in the Spa were really clean and well maintained).

The fittings in the room were of high quality, and were thoroughly cleaned once per day.

My husband and daughter highly recommend the deep tissue massage and pedicure treatments they received from ‘Lani’ in Spa.

Though we left the hotel early in the mornings, the hotel Breakfast (which was included in our package holiday) was such a great start for our day. You order it, and they prepare it with a smile.

We greatly appreciate the kind hospitality we received from all the staff at Holm Hotel and Spa. My family have fallen in love with the place, and we are looking forward to returning for our 20th Wedding Anniversary.

Thank you Holm Hotel and Spa!

Located in a quiet lane above Balluta Bay in St Julians, this recently opened boutique hotel offers modern accommodation at good prices. Staff were particularly friendly and the breakfast is great!
We had a bedroom with an outside terrace and a hot tub. The spa was free but this was a temporary offer only.
We experienced some low level noise in the morning from the cleaners but otherwise our three day stay was faultless.
The hotel offers a €30 pickup/drop off service which is also handy.

Travelled here for a wedding with my wife and friend. We booked through Hotels.com and not sure that despite our booking stating 3 people 2 rooms that was apparent to the hotel. Doubt on email and on check-in roused more suspicion, however the hotel, whatever the case, handled the situation perfectly and discretely and allocated the two rooms. Ours was massive. Very styled, loads of storage, a very large bathroom area, had a decent walled courtyard area outside with seats/table.

The spa area, whilst we didn't use, was very well spec'd (ice room, sauna, steam etc.) and the free to use indoor pool was perfect for the size of hotel. This is where you get towels and robes for your stay.

The rooftop infinity pool had a great view down the valley to the coast. And two levels of sunbeds which were available when we needed. We didn't realize until the final day that we could have ordered drinks/food from the phone in the lobby area which wasn't on our route.

Breakfast was walk up and be served due to covid. Cooked option (bacon, potatoes, mushrooms, sausages, variety of egg options etc.), pastries, fruit, juices, coffee/tea, continental, cereal - had everything we'd want. There was a young trainee that really should have had more training before being let loose. Very unsure even to use the toaster. The other staff were great, efficient, friendly etc.

Location wise, again perfect to explore St Julians and could easily walk to Sliema via backroads.

Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay at this hotel again when returning to Malta.

Unfortunately, as this hotel opened its doors just yesterday, some things don’t work properly. There are a lot of finishing inaccuracies. If you take shower, the water spreads on the whole floor in the bathroom. There is still a very strong smell of wall plastering. It seems like all the tile works were made by kids. Many things were not thought through like electrics or matching furniture to each other. The design is great, but nobody tested it for a little time to approve it for hotel guests. The service stuff has zero experience (except reception and some spa colleagues). Maids are intrusive, you notice they every time, if it’s with a small notes of weather broadcast or telephone calls. Seems like they’re trying the best to get some tips but they didn't see the dirty water in the hot tub outside, which wasn’t changed definitely for months! At the breakfast the waiter was very incompetent, the first day you tell him to bring a coffee and he brings the same coffee the whole week, although you asked for tee the next day. If you park your car in the underground parking, you'll hit the bottom of the car on the entrance ramp, think about it if you plan to come with a rental car. It's better to park outside and always maneuver to turn around. We had an opportunity to use the SPA zone for free, but soon it’ll be pricey, it won’t worth it if you stay shorter than 6 nights. These little things made our holidays a bit bitter. We can’t imagine that during the summer season the price would be the same as in winter, so we would expect more disappointment. The breakfast choice is very good.

I was looking for a long time to find the perfect Hotel in Malta and I can full-heartedly say that HOLM was it! We went on a 1 week „self-treatment“ holiday. Therefore, I was looking for a great Spa and unique Hotel. HOLM ticked all the boxes and more.
Sidenote, we booked through their website directly. It was cheaper and easier than other portals such as booking.
The Spa here is mesmerizing. It includes Hamam, sauna, Ice chamber, numerous shower systems (with shampoos or different temperatures) to clean you before and after the sauna/Hamam, foot baths and a Himalaya salt room. Furthermore, you can book all kinds of massages, highly recommend. Additionally, there is a small gym, an indoor pool with a whirlpool and a rooftop pool (open all season, but a bit too chilly in winter).
Being a boutique Hotel it has a very unique style and decor which we loved. The rooms are spacious, beautifully equiped and fun. For breakfast there is a nice selection of everything essential (coffee, tea, juice, cereal, bread, eggs, etc.).
During our stay we rented car that we could park in the garage (6 spots!?). As the occupancy goes by the „first come first serve“ principle I could imagine renting a car during the high season being problematic as there are many parking spots available around if you don’t get a garage spot. We had no issues during the off-season.
Another main reason for this hotel ist he nice services they provide. We went here for my wife’s birthday, so I booked a suprise birthday package that includes champaign, balloons and cup cakes. It was perfect! There are other packages available which I personally think is a unique selling proposition for this Hotel.
Finally, the staff was amazing, super friendly, always available, just wonderful.

Visited in February (off season) and firstly the hotel staff especially Gwen was amazing! The rooms are spacious and decorated well. Our first room had a water leak and we got upgraded to a suite- Gwen could not apologise enough and made our stay comfortable by the room upgrade.

The rooms was clean and regularly restocked with amenities/ tea/ coffee twice a day

The breakfast included was extensive and suited all diet requirements. A lovely stay overall

I've stayed in countless hotels around the world and I have to say that I've never experienced anything like the Holm Hotel & Spa.

The decor throughout is really well thought through and it is definitely a boutique hotel, the pillows for example ensured I had one of the best night's of sleep I've ever experienced! But it's the spa that's the real star. The facilities are incredibly luxurious and make you feel like you're at an exclusive country club.

The food at breakfast is also the nicest I've ever had in a hotel and it was of a really high standard. What was fantastic was that we could order hot food like pancakes and scrambled eggs and the kitchen would make them - a really nice treat.

However, the best thing about this hotel is the service and it's evident that the staff really care about their guests experience. The staff were always incredibly polite and willing to help and it was the little touches that were really noticeable. For example, I was sitting in the lobby on my phone one night and the receptionist offered to make me a hot chocolate.

If you're going to Malta you really can't do better than staying here!

Amazing and unique hotel. As we were waiting for staff to complete our check in, they offered us glass of champagne. Everything was quick and profesional. One of the staff member took our luggage for us and showed us our room and rest of the hotel after. The room is cooled down to perfect temperature for us, since outside were really hot days. Room decoration is just fantastic and speachless, aswell as the view from your private jacuzzy balcony! Hotel also has rooftop pool with view on the city and coast, aswell as rooftop sundeck. If you dont like outdoor pool, there is also indoor pool aswell as the vip spa and 4 different varieties of saunas, from salt, ice, dry and steam sauna. They also offer a lot of massage options. The hotel itself is not huge, it has around 30 rooms, so you wont have a lot of crowd while having breakfast. The breakfast itself, offers you pretty much every type of food for you to start your morning. From baked, coocked food, all the way to salt or sweet food. Hotel just offers so much, that I wish we had more time to stay in here. I Definitely highly recommend this hotel and i will be coming back.

The rooms were incredibly designed. I was in deluxe room 3326. The most important part of the room for me is the bed which was bad. Although they had great mattresses they put a memory foam layer on top to protect the mattress (I was told) which made the bed very soft. We took it off and re-made the bed. For the price of 169 euro per night I expected more. The bar fridge is not stocked. No food (except for snacks) after two PM. Kids not allowed into the indoor pool after 2PM. The alley leading up to the hotel is dark at night and the there is a steep hill to climb to get back to the hotel from the beach. The breakfast eggs were cold at 9:30 am (breakfast is till 10AM) although the chef made me a fresh one upon request. The netflix did not work and I could not connect with them . Management informs me that they will seek to address the issue in the future. Very limited English language channels. My room had only view of dilapidated residencial area although other rooms did have great views but more expensive (220 euros per night) Booking directly on their website will afford you a 20% discount as well as free entry to the spa area.

Stayed here as part of a mini honey moon and we were both very impressed.

Check in was really smooth and a member of staff personally showed us to our room which was a nice touch.

Room itself was huge! Hot tub on the balcony, 2 huge TV's in bedroom and lounge, mini kitchenette, bath, shower, basically pretty much every amenity you might ever need was there for you. Room and hotel in general were pretty much brand new, so everything was nice and clean which was good.

Hotel amenities - breakfast was pretty much spot on. It wasn't so much your heavy tranditional cooked/fried fare, it was more along healthy lines; with salads, cheeses, nuts cereals etc. With a couple of tranditional Maltese options thrown in.

Pool was amazing, Spa was amazing too. In general, there was a relaxing mood in the hotel which we really appreciated.

Literally cannot fault this hotel.

Good morning thank you for showing interest in Holm Boutique & Spa. We do offer laundry facilities at a charge. Both indoor pool and outdoor pool are also included for hotel guests. Should you wish to make use of the rest of the spa facilities such as sauna, steam room, ice cabin, himalayan salt room, foot spa ,cold bucket shower and experience showers this would be at a supplement of 50 euro per person for the whole duration of your stay. If we can be of any further assistance please let us know. With kind regards, Robert
