Loved this hotel great location in St Julians up a quiet side street away from the loud bars but just a minutes walk from everything bus stop at the end of the street.. staff friendly nice light breakfast very modern and clean rooms our room had a big balcony you could just see spinola bay from it..rooms very quiet at night just a bit of building work going on at other hotels nearby which can be a bit noisy in the morning but that has nothing to do with this hotel it was great value for money and i would recommend it

we couldn’t find better, ivy hotel made our stay in Malta perfect!!
the hotel is located very close to all the bars & clubs in St Julians, yet you can’t hear the noise from the room.
the check in is at 2 pm, we arrived earlier in the morning, and there was a very kind girl at the reception named Suhelen, who hurried up the process when i told her we woke up at 1 am in the morning for the plane.
she also gave us the best room with a beautiful view, i talked from home with them and told them it’s my husband’s birthday if they can decorate the room with a cake , champagne.. and i think this is why this happened. it was very very kind from them.
they also decorated our room on his bday!
a super pleasant experience, i would totally come back here. very kind and beautiful people!!

The problem is the restaurant area. The old guy running it is so rude and miserable (see pic)Never smiles, barges past you without saying excuse me, has no idea about stock levels (ketchup ran up one day and next day he hadn’t restocked. Maybe order more stock with you are running low and not when you run out completely??? Idiot). Then the next day they had no English tea bags.
The buffet area is very small and right next to the kitchen door so staff are constantly barging past when trying to self serve. The milk is not in a jug so you have to ask for it for tea and cereal, and all you are given is half a tiny pot. Milk must be like gold dust in Malta? They should move the serving area away from kitchen door.
The juice jugs are kept on a high shelf so anyone under 5ft 2 is going to have problems reaching for them (see pic).

The hotel is a new and in good location near buses, restaurants, supermarkets...
Easy access from airport by bus TD2 (ticket 3 euros).
The street is quiet. We were in room 401, which overlooks the back yard, and all 4 nights we were able to sleep by the open balcony door.
The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. They changed towels almost every day.
The breakfast is good and includes, among other things, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Function here is the key. Location is ideal, walking distance to St Georges, St Julian's, Paceville (less than 10 min either way) or even further (Sliema) if you have good legs. Lots going on around the hotel building wise but there is everywhere in Malta. Room was good (Deluxe) 9th Floor, spotless, balcony and coffee/tea. Breakfast was OK, some interesting bits on offer. Staff seemed well trained and always willing to help - as I said Functional but also friendly and clean - nothing not to like - good stay. Cheers The Ivy.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. Spotless, well equipped and a perfect location (in the centre of everything and 5 mins from the beach). The website pictures are a true representation of the hotel.
Amazing value for money. Hotel staff are very attentative; I didnt get her name but the pretty girl in the black jeans was exceptionally helpful and nothing was ever too much for her.
I really dont wan't to make this a 'race thing' but unfortunately, we are in times whereby minority travellers need to consider whether where they are going is 'safe'. I had a really bad experience in Cyprus last year and was worried about travelling again; there is absolutely nothing to worry about in Malta (not more than usual anyway!). Lots of people of colour everywhere, both travellers and residents.
I have recommended this place to a few friends looking for a last minute end of summer getaway and will hands down be returning.

Travelled to Malta for a little weekend break. This hotel is perfectly located in St Julians Bay. Right near all the action and walking distance to Sliema. The hotel was spotlessly clean. We only paid £35 per night so my expectations were pretty low but the rooms are exactly like the images. Good shower, nice little desk to get ready at and a nice big balcony. Tea & Coffee provided and fresh towels everyday. My only few niggles were there was no view- which is fine. The bed was not very comfy as really hard, but we were only here 2 nights, just really needed a mattress topper and we asked for extra Tea & Coffee at reception which they said they would send up but never arrived. Overall this is an amazing hotel for the price and would definitely look to book here for our next planned visit.

When booking this hotel I didn't realise how central it was to everything. Brilliant location for easy access to shops, local bays and bus stops. It is located down a not so great looking side street but once inside the hotel is clean, modern and the room we stayed in was beautiful. Our room looked exactly like the picture on their home page, so no disappointments for us. Staff were welcoming although we only found one of the guys really approachable and helpful insight and local knowledge. We only had room and breakfast which was ideal for us. My recommendations for improvement with the food would be to separate veg /non-veg items and have everything labelled with basic ingredients so that you know what the food item is. My friend and I only eat halal and found that without asking the chef we couldn't figure out what we could eat. Nothing was labelled. Also some utensils were provided for use with both sets of food items, which was not ideal. Other than that everything else was spot on and we really enjoyed our stay here.
