Be.Hotel garners high marks for its cleanliness and attentive service, with guests consistently lauding the spotless rooms and friendly staff. The hotel's central location is a double-edged sword, offering easy access to local hotspots but also exposing guests to significant noise from nightlife and construction. While the modern, well-appointed rooms and amenities like the rooftop pool are popular, the atmosphere can be compromised by the surrounding clamor. Travelers have mixed views on the value, weighing the benefits of the location against the additional costs.

We stayed here for a long weekend and were all very impressed with the place. The hotel is located within a shopping center and is split into 2 halves. There is a big clean reception, currently all kitted out with necessary COVID precautions. The staff spoke perfect English but I also heard them speaking French, and I dare say other
languages too. Check in was easy, we arrived before our room was available but we were able to get changed and leave our bags in a secure area so we could go and use the pool, if you are staying you get a card you can exchange for a clean towel every day. For the standard rooms, in order to get the pool you need to go across the shopping center (about 5 meters) to the lifts and take them up to 11th floor. I think the rooms with balconies are all located on this side of the hotel.
The rooftop pool is lovely, great views, lovely pool. It isn't deep (110cm) but long and more than adequate for cooling down. When we were there, there were plenty of beds for everyone, not sure what it would be like at busier times though. The pool is absolutely freezing but once you have managed to get in, very refreshing! There is a bar with drinks and snacks/meals, all pretty reasonably priced for a hotel. The pool and the area was very clean, all plastic cups (but not cheap nasty ones) so no issues with broken glass.
The room was fantastic and the bed was incredibly comfortable and HUGE!! There seemed to be plenty of storage, there is a fridge you can use plus a decent hair dryer which is always a bonus. There is a TV but we didn't use it so not sure what channels were available, Decent bathroom with toiletries provided, water pressure wasn't great but that is me being picky, plus a kettle with complimentary tea/coffee. We didn't have a balcony or sea view but we opted for a standard room so not an issue. We did look out over some building works which we could hear in the morning but were not particularly intrusive. Plus it is in the middle of a town so this sort of noise is to be expected.
Breakfast was amazing, there is a wide choice of hot breakfast, continental, fruits, cereals. There is still the buffet but the staff will put everything on your plate and hand it over to reduce infection risk.
We had requested 2 rooms next to each other, which we got. I would say the walls are very thin and we could hear our friends talking in the next room. For us not an issue as we were travelling together but wouldn't be great if you didn't know your 'neighbours'. I didn't hear any noise from the corridor though so that was a bonus.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, very clean, tidy, great staff and great value for money. A bit bizarre being on 2 sides of the shopping center (but as I mentioned before only 5 -10 meters or so apart) but not an issue. There is hand sanitiser everywhere which you are encouraged to use and masks have to be worn in all public areas.
It is located right next to the main street with all the bars on it, plus about 2 minutes from the beach and some other restaurants.

Simply excellent! The hotel followed all covid measures, even the elevators were fixed with hand sanitizers. The room was spacious and very clean, one could smell how clean it was. It was also beautifully decorated with heart balloons, swans and chocolates for the anniversary we were celebrating (which was a lovely surprise!) Breakfast was absolutely delicious; still in a buffet format yet it has handled by the staff themselves, even the coffee machines, ensuring the safety for their costumers. Would definitely revisit and recommend a stay at this hotel.

We have just returned for a weeks stay at this hotel and had a fabulous time. This hotel is in 2 wings sitting on top of a shopping Center and you access it via the Center. The reception is in one and the roof top pool is on the other which is where we had breakfast with the most amazing views. We had two rooms and paid to upgrade to a superior and a superior sea view, both on 10th floor, the highest. Both rooms were spacious and off a good standard. The balcony in sea view room was big with sun loungers and a table and chairs. The view was great and well worth the money. Worth noting that there is not many sea view rooms. Whilst situated in the lively nightlife area, round the corner at the front of hotel /sea front is quiet and more tranquil with St George Bay beach, quite the contrast. Some nice bars and restaurants and within a 5-10 minute walk you are in other part of St Julian’s where an even larger selection of bars and restaurants are. All very pretty and special. Sun loungers can be rented for 5 euros at St George’s beach. Hotel pool is really nice but is shallow. Breakfast was of good quality and was either a continental or a small selection of hot breakfast where staff serve you from buffet. Limited choice when you are there all week but was delicious and fresh and there is cereal, yogurt pots or even an omelette if you request it. Staff were always friendly and hard working. This hotel was good value for money and either side of st Julian’s is in our view the best part of the island, more sophisticated and central for day trips. The hotel is appropriately rated at 4 star. Our constructive feedback to management would be to improve the water flow in shower (in both rooms the setting for rain shower kept slipping out), give larger towels and please don’t remove them from rooms if there is a shortage (as we had one day) and we found the lifts frustrating especially when we there was no alternative of using the stairs. (Fire escape does not take you to bottom, although we used the fire escape to get to roof top okay from 10th floor which helped). Overall though a great stay and we were sad to leave.

The hotel is super central so it's easy to get out and about.
The rooms have pretty much everything you need in them.

It's a decent hotel to get you by but I don't think it had the polish for a 4*.

For management

Our check in was poor - he literally handed over our room key and left us to figure out the rest. We didn't even know where breakfast was the next morning. He didn't tell us about the towel cards so we went upstairs and had to come back down to collect the cards.

Don't advertise twin beds stuck together as double rooms, it really is an uncomfortable sleep for couples.

The bleach stains on the room carpet make the room look dirty and unfinished.

The kettle bar in the room but no where near a plug? We had to make our tea on the floor.

Housekeeping was inconsistent - we only got our room done twice out of five days and even then our rubbish wasn't taken. We asked the person with the towel cart for new towels and he handed loads over.

The pool - we went there twice and on both occasions we met people who were using the pool and were not guests. The second visit one of the hotel guests invited his mates from another hotel so there were 15ish lads taking up seats, being loud and just generally annoying. There are limited seats anyway so this just makes matters worse seeing actual guests not having seats.

The pool area is cramped and you will probably have to wait around for space or just give up.

Overall I'd say this is an OK hotel if you're looking to rest your head and head straight out. Oh and if you're under 25.

We recently spent 9 nights at Be.hotel, we booked a suite which included breakfast and it was extremely good value. Our room was gorgeous with a separate sitting room and a work space, fridge, lots of storage, balcony and huge bathroom. Our room was spotlessly clean and the housekeeping ladies were so lovely, we even had a turn down service with chocolates left on our pillows which was lovely. The hotel also kindly left us a bottle of prosecco in our room, which we were very grateful for! It was a lovely touch!
The hotel is split into two zones, we were in the zone A where reception was and across the shopping centre you took an elevator to zone B where the pool was and breakfast restaurant. We had breakfast on the roof which was just stunning, breakfast is adequate, it would have been nice to have more cut fruit like melon and kiwi like we had in the restaurant breakfast on the 4th floor, even the orange juice is like squash it's not fresh orange juice which was a shame but other than that it was fine. We did eat out for breakfast a few times as it was nice to get a change.
Pool area is lovely, nice music playing, good food and drinks. Our only issue was the sun loungers and pool area, we loved the hotel but we ended uo going to the beach club 4 days out of our stay due to no sun loungers, people putting towels out and not returning for hours there isn't enough sun loungers for the amount of people using the pool so it gets very crowded. They did bring up more loungers last Friday so it's obviously something they are trying to address. There was a number of groups on Stags also, generally all fine but one group caused a lot of disruption to the pool area last week, security did come up and speak to them twice but i think a visible pool manager should have been around earlier so it didnt get to that point. They were blaring their music from a speaker, impeded the walking area at one side of the pool and an elderly gentleman with a walking stick was nearly knocked over, it was disgraceful. The hotel really should have stopped this group earlier in the day.
We would recommend this hotel for younger couples/groups it was fun, and in a great location for bars/clubs but it isn't a spot for a quiet holiday so be aware.
The hotel is so clean and well presented, we really did enjoy ourselves the pool area just needed a manager to stop sun loungers going unused for hours and to monitor groups like the German stag I mentioned above.

Myself and a friend stayed here last week and I cannot thank the staff enough for their exceptional customer service. Our holiday company weren’t clear what type of room we we’re getting so we requested this a week before we travelled and it was no problem to have it arranged for us.

The reception, bar and pool staff were all really friendly which really made the stay that extra bit special. Nothing was ever too much for them. The rooms were also cleaned to the highest of standards.

One of the best things about this hotel is the location, you are within a 2 minute walk of a small beach and the town. The hotel itself is inside a shopping mall so everything is there at your convenience.

The only slight frustration was the lifts. They seemed quite tedious in all honesty. Sometimes the lift will go straight past you and collect others and when you eventually were in it would go to floors with no one stood there waiting. There are stairs available so if they do become extremely annoying you can use the stairs.

Other than the paragraph above the stay was non other than perfect. Thank you Be.Hotel

We stayed for a week in October. We had a standard double room (no balcony) The room was large with a sofa and small table with 2 chairs. (This was unexpected but very welcome) There are complimentary shampoo, body wash, conditioner and body lotion; and a number of extras such as sewing kit. There was also a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee etc and a daily bottle of water. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel generally quiet ensuring a good sleep environment. The rooftop pool and bar is lovely and all of the staff were excellent: always polite and helpful. The breakfast is buffet style but staff serve you what you want. Hot breakfast wasn't especially hot, but there is lots of choice of hot and cold food. The one thing I would change would be to put bread rolls and pastries etc with the cold rather than the hot food. This would even out the queues at busy times. Breakfast is from 7.30 til 10.30 weekdays and til 11 Saturdays and Sundays. Highly recommended place to stay

Swift and pleasant introduction at check in, helpful staff who were accommodating to our 21st birthday celebrations and our slightly early arrival.

Rooms exactly as advertised, with a wonderful sea view so highly recommend saving your extra pennies for this superior sea view accommodation with comfy beds & tasteful decor. Even better if you opt in for breakfast in the rooftop lounge - the view is spectacular along with their great selection of food each morning.

Loredana contacted us via WhatsApp on the first day so let us know she was only a text away to contact her directly for prompt replies for anything we need. Which was a great, modern touch to present day customer service in the hotel environment.

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Be.Hotel, all staff went above and beyond to make us happy and accommodate all of our needs with no hesitation whatsoever. Which is wonderful to see from myself after working in hospitality for 18 years, Be.Hotel and their team - especially Loredana and John - are certainly on the right track.

Thankyou again for our amazing stay at Be.Hotel Malta, and I look forward to returning my hospitality to you in Thailand.

Michael

I would recommend St Julians to a more younger crowd (18-25) as the nightlife repeats itself pretty much every night with paceville always being super crowded. You have to queue for all the “big clubs” i.e Havana, footloose however people literally wait in the line from 8pm until the club closes waiting for hours (!!!) to get in. Not really a relaxed vibe for going out with friends so we enjoyed more of the restaurants and bars surrounding the area.
In regards to the hotel that holds such a large capacity of guests unfortunately there was only one lift on each side of the hotel!!! Never understood why.

The room was modern and clean.
Out of our 10 day stay house keeping came to make our room at 6pm on two days 🤷🏼‍♀️ which we kindly declined as we were obviously in the room.
Breakfast buffet was the same every morning but enough for a decent breakfast and good quality of food with drinks included. The bar staff were always really helpful with any requeats we had at either breakfast or during the day at the pool.
Big thank you to the bartender Alex & Fabian for always looking after us :)

I booked three Superior Sea view rooms with balcony ,on arrival we were given two rooms on tenth floor and my room was on 9th floor. The rooms on the 10th floor had the most amazing balconies really big with sun loungers table and chairs . My balcony on 9th floor was really tiny only just fitted a table and chairs . I enquired if we could be moved to 10th floor but to no avail . The rooms on the tenth floor were cleaned every day were as I had to go looking for someone to clean our room and get towels toilet rolls etc it only got cleaned twice once we sat on balcony as I had to go and find someone and second time was our last day and I had to ask for that . We all paid the same price but my experience and my friends experience totally different. On the whole the hotel was really nice breakfast plentiful, although it’s in a busy area we weren’t bothered with any noise . Free shuttle to Golden Bay was great . Staff at breakfast and in pool area really nice and helpful

You park at the Bay Street Car Park and stay as long as you want - at the be.hotel reception you then ask for a parking ticket to get out - it's a flat fee of 5 Euros. (I think the 12 hours intervals if parking without be.hotel special rate are capped at 6 Euros though, so if you go in and out of the car park a lot during your stay then maybe not worth bothering reception and just pay your parking at the machines, but if you only go out once a day then the 5 Euros ticket from reception is worth it).
