I chose this hotel as it was pet friendly, and it certainly was. My 2 collies had a great stay, as there was a huge meadow for them to play in, in the beautiful extensive grounds. The staff ensured I had a ground floor room, closest to the fire exit, so I could get the dogs in and out easily....

Room very small, especially the bathroom which had a very old fashioned shower. Nothing special with the room we stayed in, have stayed in more luxurious premier inn rooms. Room was also very difficult to find

Not a well managed hotel. The staff seemed stressed and undertrained, albeit friendly. The rooms are about on par with a mainstream budget chain in terms of size and facilities. Most of the hotel is a modern extension, with the old house really just being the reception and lounge. So not very special really. One reason we chose the hotel...

What a great stay, staff were outstanding, Melissa and Chris were great on reception, new ops manager think it was Ryan? And Kristine on breakfast, all a pleasure. I felt the room was comfortable and extremely clean, a little dated and could use a bit of investment but nothing to put me off. We had a fantastic meal, the stake...

Beautifull setting, would highly recommend staying at The Crutherland staff rooms and food fantastic. Spa is the perfect place to unwind. In my opinion the restaurant decor could do with a revamp as it is a bit dull and staid even though it is an old country house.

Overall the stay was good but having stayed there numerous times in the past the room and hotel was looking a bit tired. It needs decoration and renewing, some little things were not good eh bulbs not working, a table missing in the room, etc. Whilst breakfast was great there weren't enough staff on duty to keep the service maintained

Excellent staff, service and dinner, took care of the little extras as it was our friends birthday.. Only down side was I felt the treatments included were far too rushed and did not last the full half hour. Also no Jacuzzi.

The hotel is set in lovely landscape. A very old fashioned feel inside the hotel. I would say needing refurbished but it gives the hotel a charming feel. Food in restaurant is very nice. The staff seemed a bit stressed in restaurant the night I was there, on,y one person seemed able to work the till. The spa was very...

The room was lovely, comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful (although all looked rushed off their feet) the food was good however the massive draw back was the fact you had to wait an age for it! Was there on business and missed a train and a business meeting on two consecutive days due to waiting a...
