We spent the weekend of Sept 24th in our small corner room 201 with comfortable queen bed, private bath with stall shower, and nice view of the harbor. It seemed like the last weekend of the season for most of the restaurants and ice cream parlors. Not sure you can do much better on Block Island at that time of...

the harborside inn is an old historic building. the check in and check out was easy. the employees were very nice. the rooms are small but they do have air conditioning which is important during the summer months. rooms that face the ocean can be loud at night with the windows open but it wasn't too bad. very easy to...

Ours was a relatively last-minute reservation, in July! We were fortunate to find a place to lay our heads in peak season. We were able to get a room for three adult family members -- and each of these adults had their own bed! This hotel is full of 'charms'. Face it -- the hotel dates back to the 1880s....

Stayed in Room 316. The room was so small we decided to unpack in order to store our luggage. You couldn't even walk around the bed because of the very large and noisy a/c unit. The bathroom sink did not drain and the hot water was hit and miss. The next day I pulled out a white shirt and it...

This place will not disappoint, wonderful drinks and fresh flavorful meals with a fantastic view of the harbor. The waiter was attentive to all of our needs and very courteous. Will definitely return here. Love this place.

Well, the rooms may be a little small, and the main stairway may be a little slanted, and maybe you don't have an ironing board, and maybe it's not the luxury of a Marriott property. BUT - the location CANNOT be beat, the A/C is really strong, the showers had great pressure, the staff was fabulous...a greeting whenever they say...

This hotel is a great location if you're visiting the island. Our ferry from Rhode Island let off right across the street and from there a lot of restaurants and shops were on the same street. There were also several moped/bike/jeep rentals in that area too and it's a few minutes to walk over to a great beach location. The...

Lovely hotel and incredible staff! Especially Bryan and Sally in hospitality and the manager at the front desk. We stayed in rooms 232 and 234 during our stay, and are convinced that room 234 is haunted. The rooms are small, but clean and the location is top notch.

Stopped in for breakfast. It was fine. Decent service and fair price. Convenient to the ferry. Just had a couple of eggs so not much to judge the food. I think there are lots of cuter places on block island to eat. One good thing is that they have a luggage room to stow your stuff.

Block Island's tourist season lasts for less than half the year. And most visitors come on the weekends. So high prices and two-night minimums are about the only way for island hotels to remain viable businesses. At Harborside, there are certain things that can't be helped because of the age of the building. But there is so much the management...
