The DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Strathclyde boasts a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, with guests frequently applauding its cleanliness and the striking impression made by the lobby. While the hotel's amenities, such as the health club and dining, generally receive positive remarks, some reviewers point out the breakfast offerings could be enhanced. Despite the praise for its spotless environment and courteous service, the value proposition is somewhat tarnished by high-priced meals and extra fees.
Although the rooms are considered clean, calls for modernization are common among visitors. The location is convenient for motorway access but is a bit removed from Glasgow's bustling city center.

Hotel's Favourite
I don’t normally write a review but felt compelled on this occasion.
Very much enjoyed a weekend stay, the room was comfortable and very clean, well done to your housekeeping team.
Comfortable lounge bar area.
Food was very good, had breakfast and lunch, the soup was fabulous.
Breakfast had a good choice, lovely fresh fruit, pastries and hot food which was all very nice.
Staff over the weekend were very helpful and courteous, Agga for constantly topping up the buffet ensuring there was plenty food. Helen for being so cheerful around the restaurant.
Lynne S, a lovely genuine person, so willing to help the guests and offered great recommendations of places to visit during our stay. Not forgetting John who was just so lovely
John and Lynne are a fab team, we observed a lovely working partnership between them and lots of light hearted banter amongst the team which was great.
Great to see staff happy at work!

This was our first experience of a Hilton brand hotel and it won't be our last! I had joined the Hilton Honors program and downloaded the app so I could get the digital room key on my mobile, sadly I still had to go to reception to get my digital key (my only complaint) I had to then enter my card details again even though already registered. The guy (sorry didn't see his name) was very professional (polite & informative) despite my grumpy self. The hotel was very Covid 19 aware with wearing of masks marked areas for queuing and the lifts limited to one household at a time. The first floor room was spacious and extremely clean the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and the TV was a good size picture etc. We did not sample the bar / restaurant as I am in the shielding group and we are still being very careful so I can't comment on the food etc. The hotel is ideally placed for an overnight stop on our many trips to the Highlands so we will be returning and hopefully next time we can smple the food and drink.

Visited this hotel for afternoon tea with my elderly grandparents, both AnneMarie and Sandra were very accommodating as we had a wheelchair; they made every effort to make us all feel very welcome and made sure everything was perfect. Afternoon tea was excellent value for money and we appreciated the vegetarian option. Lovely atmosphere in the lounge, great wheelchair access and entire place was very clean. All social distancing was adhered to and both AnneMarie and Sandra explained the guidelines clearly and kept us all safe. The best service we’ve all received in a long time! Can’t wait to visit again!

Check in was smooth except that I had booked through booking.com
They tried to charge us a different rate until I showed them my confirmation. Once it had been corrected and I had went to my room, I checked my bank account and it showed the correct rate plus an additional amount which took us up the amount originally quoted. After dinner I spoke to the duty manager who explained that it was a software problem and he would amend it, which he did. However, how many people has this happened to and never been challenged?
As I said, check-in was smooth although we were moved to a room that we hadn't paid for. We had booked a king suite but accepted a queen suite as yet again, software issues meant that reception was in the dark about what was ready and what wasn't.
So, we went to our room to find it a little bit tired but acceptable. We switched on the TV to find that not only did we not have cable or sky, the free to air normal channels were shy of most channels also. No big deal as we spend most of the time out anyway.
First night we had dinner. I had burger and chips which was very very well done but I dont mind this. My wife had macaroni and it was OK. £15 for the burger and simalar for the macaroni was expensive. As extras we had garlic bread and fries. They were good but at £3.50 for 3 slices of garlic bread and a child's portion of fries i thought was a bit much.
Getting up in the morning I had to go to reception for fresh towels which is OK during the pandemic as housekeeping is partially suspended. However, one thing I noticed was the clientelle in the hotel. It was more suited to a Travelodge or Premier Inn. People walking around in stocking soles or trackirs is not what I expected the Hilton brand to be associated with. This runs true as for Friday and Saturday night we had party people in the corridor all night long.
Sunday night? Completely silent. The hotel can't vet everyone that pays for their visit but security and noise patrols could be 100% better.
Would i stay again? If the price was right

Just home from 2 nights.
Check in was simple enough, swimming slots booked and advised by reception to use towels from the room and leave them at gym after use and collect fresh ones on way back to room. Sounds simple.
We were room 302
Room was average. Cobwebs on ceiling. Wall paper peeling in places One large bed and one sofa bed. Beds were terrible. Could be done with replacing. Every time I moved I felt the springs ( I’m slim build ) room is very hot and no air con can open the window but sound of traffic is constant.
No housekeeping unless requested which is fair enough.
Pool area was really good. Pool is 1.2m the whole way. Son loved the jacuzzi. Able to leave towel and collect fresh.
Second day when we went they told us we had to leave our towels in our room not in the spa. Wasn’t going to take them till I pressed further and said reception had advised this.
Breakfast no buffet but able to pick what you fancy staff really friendly.
Dinner was good meals were of a good quality £3.20ish for a coke pretty steep.
All hotel staff we encountered were super friendly.
Leisure not so much.

Had a fantastic time at the hotel. Spent 2 nights,Thursday and Friday and the hotel staff were amazing. From the minute we walked through the entrance of the Hotel we felt welcomed and at home. The staff could not do enough for you. Dorothy from housekeeping was amazing with attentive care throughout our stay and when we used the restaurant Anne-Marie and her staff looked after us and everyone we seen with professionalism and confidence. They really went the extra mile. We will certainly be back as this was one of the best hotel experiences we have had and being Hilton Honours members we have been all over the world. Big thumbs up 👍 oh and
not forgetting Jamie who made sure the Wedding day went smoothly and every one had a great time.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter as a new year treat before going back to work/school I chose here as I trust the Hilton brand and I got a really good deal. We arrived a bit early but our room was ready. We got given a cookie and a bottle of water each on arrival which my daughter loved! I booked a king bed room. The room was spotlessly clean and smelled lovely too. We spent lots of time in the pool which was great found the changing areas to be clean and pleasant. Breakfast was good nice range of hot and cold items not quite of the standard of my favourite Hilton hotel but still enjoyable. I found all the staff to be very helpful and nice especially when I asked at reception for extra pillows within 10mins housekeeping brought them to me! Only negative was there was a function on on the Friday night I had purposely chosen a room on the top floor at the very end of the building as I'm not great with noise a couple of the guests made quite a racket when returning to their room and in it thankfully they shut up when I made it known I could hear them but Overall a lovely stay and will be back.

After over a year away due to COVID it was great to be back (to nearly normal) at Hilton Doubletree Strathclyde at Bellshill.
We use this hotel for mainly business purposes, team meetings, customer and supplier meetings and good to see familiar faces again and a very warm reception.
With appropriate social distancing measures in place my colleagues and were able to feel relaxed and confident to book a meeting room to use as a 'base' for some project meetings and had lunch in the restaurant. Sandra, Shirley and Anne-Marie were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and made sure we were looked after and nothing was too much bother for them.
As a business we use this location as it caters for needs but it is the people who make sure we always feel relaxed, welcome and makes sure we come back.
Four visiting colleagues had rooms and were also very complimentary of the facilities and staff.

First let me start by saying that the service we received from the staff in the bar and restaurant was excellent.
This was let down however by the not very high quality food.
The room was as expected , nothing special, but it was nice to have a very big Bath.
Only 4 tiny milk portions provided for two people. That seems very mean.
The swimming pool was good- we were advised to go in the evening to avoid the hordes of children having swimming lessons there during the daytime.
Advice well received.
The swimming pool is at a lovely temperature and we used the sauna and jacuzzi too.
Overall an ok stay and we got a very good deal but I won't be rushing back.
