- Housekeeper is not professional enough.
- Resorts Transportation is very hard so you need to have your own Car or have booked a Uber or Grab.
- Smoking area is not that good especially when it’s raining ( They should atleast put some sheds)
- Room was not what I’m expecting especially I chose to be in the Garden rooms Behind the Spa to have a very peaceful stay, my room smells like it was been abandoned, the toilet is filthy, the shower heads had some crystallized water proof that it’s not that cleaned very well.
- Telephone Operators often failed to relay my instructions to the room service.
- Room service during night time will take longer to deliver your orders, one time I just ordered a beer but it took almost an Hour or more to be delivered.
- I always order a Pumpkin Soup ( It was really good) the only thing I’m concerned about is the bread they used to serve you the soup is very not worthy it can just Absorb all the soup and the time it will be deliver you can just have a small amount of soup. ( I preferred the usual Soup Bowls than the Bread bowls they’re using.
- Spa staffs is not that friendly, not very approachable.
Positive;
- My rooms location is Top Tier, very peaceful, the ambiance is so excellent, If you want to experience the Villa Type of stay and rooms I highly suggest to choose garden rooms.
- Business trip friendly the WiFi is great, the quietness of the area is very good especially like us who always have a business meeting every morning.
- Pool in front of our rooms is very great cause it will make you feel like it was only Exclusive for you.
- Room Service is very good most especially during Brunch time, My guy Blance took really good care of serving us despite the distance from our room until to the main building.
- I will just commend My guy Blance to his dedication to his job, the positivity he spreads every morning he delivered to me my ordered breakfast with a very bright smile and very light Aura he has, I highly appreciate every time he asked how my night or day went. He really knows what’s my order is, what I need with my order. He’s a great guy cause he will just greet the gardeners everytime with a smile also.
- The food is excellent they always give me what I wanted or requested with my order and for me it’s very important.
- The beach area is very good especially if you want to just have a walk or look for beach to relax.
- Also I ordered a Cocktail from the bar the cocktail was very good and perfect kudos to bartenders Kahim and Anthony for always making my drink so perfect and good.
But overall, Solea Is a very great place to stay with most especially if you are together with your family and friends. Everyone also in the resort will just greet you.

Upon arriving I was moved to a different floor and a different room which was upsetting. After cleaning of the rooms we hoped that they would've refilled the coffee sachets.
The location of the resort was ideal but the lack of and prices of transportation ruined it. The beach was somewhat beautiful sadly there was a lot of wood and broken of plants floating closeby the beach.
The staff were professional and the service was excellent and friendly. The WiFi in the Hotel was weak and disconnected a lot, we had to use our own data. The TV provided on the room was quite small and at night half of the channels did not work or the image quality was bad.
It would have been nice if there were some books or board games in the rooms. Though by far the biggest disappoinment was that the swimming pools closed at 9.00PM, why were we treated like children at a Holiday Resort which we paid for?
There were clear rules about no smoking and the fines attached to it, though I did not spot a single area where we could Vape or Smoke, not even on the beautiful sky bar.
All and all it was a great experience, I'd recommend to make extra sure when checking in about the fine details so that your overall trip won't be ruined by unnecessary pettiness.

It's noticeable that there used to be a lock in the glass, but through time they probably have been broken/detached and were never replaced. The management should replace the comfort room doors with a solid-framed door with a durable lockset (it can still have glazing). This is also the same case in the comfort rooms by the pool - same frameless glass with no locks on all doors..
Also, we've noticed areas that have major safety issues. The pools by the restaurant have no water, and there's not even any guardrail or barrier to keep people from falling over! (there's an outdoor patio with tables & chairs just by the empty pool!) The steps to the pool from Reception have high & varying steps and with no guardrail or handrail at all! and there's uneven steps beside the pool without water. It should never pass safety; it's an accident waiting to happen. The management should take safety & privacy issues seriously.
All these we noticed within just 1 hour of entering the premises.
Due to these, we believe it's not worth going back to the place. There are other hotels & resorts with the same cost but are more safe & respects privacy.

As I have two small children (3 and 4) and a 78 year old I asked for closer room.
I was told this would cost an extra 300 peso per night, per room as I booked via Agoda.
The only reason I booked via Agoda was because their website had no rooms available, I tried to book via messenger directly but it took 48 hours to confirm the booking with confirmation received at 7pm the night before my expected stay. I didn’t want to miss out on a room so I booked online. Messenger replies were taking 24 hours to respond.
I would have cancelled my booking then and there if I could have but Agoda had a no cancellation policy (I didn’t expect so many issues!)
We ate at the restaurant while we waited, the fries came with an orange sauce on them that the kids didn’t like (not mentioned on the menu), when I asked for plain fries I had to pay extra because our fries were already portioned.
It doesn’t say that there is an additional cost for the kids playroom or inflatable pool facilities, only “ he convenience of watersports equipment rentals, canoes and water park provided.” I find this very deceiving or maybe that’s the norm here.
After our 78 year old guest fell asleep in the foyer waiting, we were finally provided a new room closer (due to the issues with our booking).
Agoda also doesn’t mention that the resort is under renovation.
The rooms and foyers are worse for wear, towels stained and dirty looking and the resort is under renovation with pools empty and dirty, stagnant water right next to a meal area. Our room view looks into a dilapidated maintenance area. I could take more photos but honestly I just need to make the most of this stay.
Consider this post my vent. Let’s hope it improves from here but now we’re taking our family to the pool with no sunlight. I should have listened to my friend’s advice and read previous comments and stayed elsewhere..
Rooms are good looking but bathrooms need better cleaning. There is a funky smell from the sewer too.
Breakfast can get crowded and while al fresco dining would have been ok, there we big flies are, it was just gross!
Grounds are well maintained but the pools aren’t.
Room:
I was assigned a city-view room, which overlooked a nearby residential area with native housing. Unfortunately, this came with a lot of noise from roosters, which started crowing loudly at 5:00 AM—a “natural alarm clock” for those who aren’t looking to sleep in. The room itself was very standard and clean, but the shower head in the bathtub lacked a proper holder, leaving it to dangle awkwardly. The water was warm but never truly hot.
Food:
I must commend the breakfast buffet, which was well-stocked and offered quality food. However, my experience with the other dining options was disappointing. Many items on the menu were unavailable or out of stock. For instance, I attempted to order a special dish from the menu provided, only to be told it required a 5+ hour pre-order. This crucial detail was not listed on the menu, leaving me frustrated. For the Philippines, the food and drink prices were also notably high.
Waterpark:
The waterpark is arguably the resort’s standout feature. The pools and water facilities were excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed hosting one of my employees and his family here. It was the highlight of our stay.
Customer Service:
One major issue occurred during checkout. My wife was charged PHP 300 for a missing keycard, which we are certain was left in the room. It felt like a petty money grab, as the card may have been overlooked or taken by staff. Either way, this left a bad impression at the end of our stay.
Conclusion:
While the resort has some redeeming qualities, such as the waterpark and breakfast buffet, the overall experience was marred by poor service, maintenance issues, and unreasonably high food and beverage prices. With better attention to detail and guest satisfaction, Solea could realize its potential, but for now, I would advise looking elsewhere.
