I recommend this hotel especially if u r goin to Disneyland. It was neat and clean hotel with peaceful environment. But there was only one issue not everyone knew english in the staff.. but I will recommend this hotel
Nice hotel with great location close to RER station. 5-7 minutes to Disneyland and 45-50 minutes to city centre. Rooms are small but clean and quiet.Breakfast is very good and everyone will find something to eat that suits their taste.Overall quality/price ratio and location are the best features for recommending this hotel as a base for trips to Paris and Disneyland.
My partner and I have never experienced such rudeness from a hotel staff member in our entire lives. We are Brits, and for some reason, they didn't want to give us the code to the underground carpark whereas the French guests we met had it (who kindly let us back in on the second night) We were buzzing and buzzing to be let in on the intercom for about ten minutes We tried ringing the hotel reception desk-no pickup. When we eventually were let in by other guests we noticed reception was empty and we aksed why we were not given the code and why did they not buzz us through as in the previous night. The lady with no apology and a response that didn't add up said "Oh when the night manager's on I'm not allowed to let people in for security reasons". We said but you let us in last night. "That's because the night manger wasn't on". Yes he was as it was the same bloke sat there who we asked about the reserved parking spaces the previous night. She got so argumentative and no chance of even a hint of an apology. Now we know why she didn't want to pick up the phone, could probably see us on our mobile through the CCTV stuck outside. We are members of the accor group and have stayed with Mercure across Europe and the UK and are given complimentary drinks vouchers. However every evening we tried to use them, we were told the bar was closed. "11.30 it closes at 11.30" the receptionist repeated even though we explained to her that it wasn't actually 11.30 yet. Then "oh barman he's gone home. He had to go." On the second night of hearing this, we asked why we were told we could use the bar until 11.30 when it was always shut. The same woman replied with no apology yet again, just "the strike!" Again we asked why if this strike had been going on for weeks and weeks were we told the bar would be open. No explanation. No exchange of the drinks for extra accor points instead either. To add insult to injury, when we paid upon checking out, they decided to slap an extra €40 on to the pinpad of the card machine instead of the number on our bill. We have been led to believe that this was vindictive as opposed to a genuine mistake, given all the rudness we'd experienced before.…
Heating barely wored and the room temperature was not ideal. The water temperature switched back and for and was difficult to regulate Bad water pressure. Dinner at the resto is pretty average, better try other places around
As usual the mercure hotel was very good. The breakfast was also good, except the section of the hot meal (eg.English breakfast) Unfortunately there was a stupid argument with the reception lady and the night watcher on the issue of an extra large for my daughter's room on saturday ,2nd november..Many reasons were given that this was not possible. Only after I got angry and said I would mention this in my hotel appraisal form, the blanket was put in the room. Maybe as a retaliation (?) my wake up call for the next morning did not come through.
