The hotel is a renovated townhouse and opens directly onto the narrow pavement, as did the windows of our room on the ground floor, so we didn't feel we could leave the windows open at night, though the street was actually pretty quiet overnight. Unfortunately the aircon was rather noisy, so we had a stuffy night.
The room was rather over-dressed for my taste, with eclectic artworks and dried flowers. A pair of footstools flanked the doorway to the bathroom for some reason. I would have preferred a table and a decent reading lamp. The worst thing was that the bed had a waterproof protective undersheet, which was very uncomfortable and clammy to sleep on. Surely the most basic requirement of a hotel is a comfortable bed?
Breakfast was basic but cheap - juice, hot drink and toast - taken in the pleasant patio.
Our room was spacious and clean but had no external windows-the only window looked on to an internal courtyard so we had to close the shutters if we wanted privacy and the room then felt claustrophobic. There was a strong smell of musty pot pourri/ dried flowers.Having orientated ourselves my husband set out to find a way to bring the car to the hotel -this took a long and frustrating time-not the most relaxing way to spend a sunday afternoon in Spain! There is no car park so we parked on the road outside.
Breakfast-toast and packaged jam-was served on the internal patio-the plants and ornaments made this a pleasant place to sit
I do not think that we saw this hotel at its best -may be because we were visiting outside their normal busy season. It felt like we were intruders into someone's home, encroaching on their time and space.. It is a charming place and good value for money but certainly not 'luxurious' as described in one of the leading guide books to Spain

The next morning we go on an excursion and when we arrive at night the room was neither done nor cleaned, apparently the blonde employee didn't see the cleaning sign on the door handle and didn't want to do it, we're a total fool rule that we have not seen again, because it was just off the following days.
In short, I don't recommend it at all, apart from the fact that it needs a major renovation.

Tiled floors to main room and bathroom. Double bed, two bedside cabinets, two easy chairs, one chest of drawers and one wardrobe. There was a big enough balcony to sit out on. Air conditioning .
Large bathroom with normal size bath and shower, also bidet.
Don't arrive between 2 pm and 3 pm in afternoon.
Wifi in room and air-conditioning, but no lift. Flat screen tv.
Friendly owner, but helps if you can speak some Spanish.
I would be pleased to stay here again.
"Small hotel, so not much choice of rooms. We were on the road side and this was fine - I am a light sleeper and found it OK."Read full review
